Mish Mosh, Pish Posh

So i want to start this off: RIP Stacy, my little calf that was Clinton's twin. She passed away on Feb. 12, 2010. I was on vacay and only received the information yesterday that she had passed away. Stacy was named after Stacy London, who is on the show with Clinton called What Not to Wear. She was a small little critter and i hope that she is playing in the giant pasture in the sky.

I sit listen to some dance music, THE BLACK EYED PEAS, and i ponder what to write to you.

I could go totally patriotic and blab about how wonderful it is for Canada to have the leading count in gold medal winnings on Canadian soil. Especially the mens hockey game... what a great finish to a great games. I didn't watch the Olympics that much. I saw some really good important parts though, ie. Alexander Bilodeau winning the first gold, the woman ice skater who won a bronze and competed even though her mother passed away 2 days before, the ice dance team winning gold, and so on. The thing that i like more about the Olympics is that the biographies and commentating is very inspirational. Some people were rewarded with one of the rarest gifts for being good people. Maybe people will create new heroes that they can follow and aspire to be.

ROCK YOUR BODY comes on and i just start to move with the music. Hips doing deep dips. Thighs swaying from side to side to the electro beat. Every once in a while my hands pump and raise the roof. My carpet is my private dancefloor with no limits. I can shake my money maker. I like to get down. Dance like there's no one watching (my cats look at me like a lunatic!). Be totally free. Even break into lap dance mode!

There's this guy that i wish i got to know on my vacay instead of leaving without hardly knowing him. He's very creative and seems interesting. I think he has some great stories, wish i heard them. He's mysterious but i like it. I want to get to know him better, but i don't want to come across as that chick that is desperately wanting to know your deepest darkest secret. I want to be distant a little. It's hard but i have had some success so far. Just got to keep up the cool persona!

The lights on my wall blink green and blue to red and orange. That's one thing that i really love about what i did to my apartment. I have my lights up in a design, it almost looks like a face but it's not meant to be that way. I love turning them on and having them on while i am chillin' at night time. They make me happy, and can entertain me for a few whole minutes.

I had an interview on the weekend. I hope i get the job. I'm confident that i can do it and it's so close to home. With it comes responsibility and organization (which i know i can do, that's one of my best selling features!). I have already figured out what my special title would be EQUINE EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTOR, which would be the long title for "I work in a tack store" or "I work in retail". Now remember how i used to call myself an Equine Stall Sanitary Technician, which was long for saying i shovel shit. And i want to say that it sounds really professional so when i said it to people they would just look at me and nod with a look of WOW on their faces. Any job can have a fancy title so there!, you just have to be able to create it.

I'm still very addicted to the application of FARMVILLE on facebook. There's something about it that i just love. I like that none of the animals are for edible use. I like that i can grow just about anything and not have it die unless i leave it too long. Oh yeah, I'm RICH! (If only it were real life, TEAR)

Accomplishment=Good Feelings

Dear Reader,

Today has been a good day. A step forward in PROJECT : CHANGE MY LIFE.

I gave a lesson as I usually do on Friday nights and I feel like I have accomplished a great feat.

My student has a pony that has potential to be out of control and we are preparing to go to a show on Sunday. Well this pony and his rider went awesome tonight, the best I have seen them go. It's like a completely different team then when they first came to me. It's nice to see how I have helped them. I am very looking forward to going to the show on Sunday. It's a good stepping stone in their progress and what the rider wants to get out of this.

Feeling like you have done something good and you can see the change you have brought around is the greatest feeling.

LAUGH OUT LOUD

Dear Reader,

So I was in a local book store looking for a writing exercise book that provided me with props to get me started on writing with new, strange, and fun ideas. Then the shopsy handed me this book, it's called, THIS DIARY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE 2009. There are little captions and sayings randomly blasted around the front and back cover and I thought this would be a great book to use for my blog. I don't plan to do the weekly exercises or anything but I do plan to use this book to entertain, enthral, and educate you! Upon opening this book the first page is red and has the following quote in the middle of it:

“To be completely free, one must become a slave to a set of laws” - Cicero

As thought provoking and discussion instigating that sentence is, in some forms, be it rare or common it rings true. After reading that a few times it just makes me want to use this book even more to highlight my blog and my adventures. Everyone needs some comedic relief in their life!
The first task is MAKE A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION THAT NO ONE IN HISTORY HAS EVER MADE BEFORE. This is interesting because they supply you with some suggestions:

-Bring a bonafide Nazi to justice
-Find the Grail but keep quiet about it
-Teach the world to sing
-Memorize Pi backwards
-Gain weight
-Find the lost city of Atlantis
-Learn to horsewhisper
-Defeat evil wherever it may surface
-Make 1, 879, 422 pounds, (british currency) exactly and no more
-Find a cure for vertigo
-Waste fewer words
-Get a job in drug dealing
-Discover a new black hole with the naked eye
-Watch less bad news on tv
-Train my pet to meditate with me
-Eat asparagus every day
-Resolve the Middle East Crisis on a postcard
-Remember more of my dreams
-Recycle other people's rubbish
-Master the AK-47
-Stop passive smoking

As I was typing that list down I came up with a response for each and every one of those suggestions. If it's humour you are looking for today you will get it. Enjoy. (These are in the same order as stated above but it's my version!)

-If you are going to bring a Nazi to justice, make it worth your while. Go for a few or some one big like Ernest Zundel
-Don't bother finding the Grail, no one wants to read something as old and dusty as that. Pick a new age interesting book.....how about the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, there's hunky guys to talk about and hot girls for the guys!
-Teach the world NOT to sing, avoid any ear piercing harmonies
-Anything with math, forget, except your count downs for birthdays, holidays, etc.
-Gain weight is an interesting one because at some point in the year everyone achieves this one!
-There's the hotel in the south that's called Atlantis and it practically is a city, well no, but has a lot of cool things that most regular cities don't have....the slide that is underwater, the biggest indoor fountain and a rockin' dance floor!
-I'm great at HorseYelling so I don't need to horsewhisper, my message is heard loud and clear!
-Defeating is fun when you are a super hero but you need to have the right spandex costume, liatards and gadgets first, once you invest in those then the crusade can begin
-I think that you should try to successfully make $1 for charity everyday, a good deed a day keeps the evil away! And..... it makes you feel good.
-Forget vertigo, find a cure for something common like IBS, yep that's right Irritable Bowel Syndrome
-Speak/Write fluently (Tough one for word Hogs!)
-A job in drug dealing does sound very appealing, but I don't think there are any tax breaks and legalization is a toughy
-The other day I did discover a new black hole with my naked eye, it was my dirty oven, Job=Clean dirty hole and make it pristine so that it hurts naked eye to look at. (Special tip, look around there's an asshole somewhere all the time)
-Allow only reality tv drama in your life, my personal fav....The Hills
-Forget training pets to meditate, if you can teach them to nap on command now that's something
-DO NOT eat asparagus every day, it gives you stinky pee
-Jack Nicholson said it perfectly in the movie Mars Attacks, “Can't we all just get along...” don't bother wasting a postcard, word conservation remember!
-I remember my dreams very well, but for those that forget invest in a dream journal, then a book that interprets what your means, then buy something else that interprets that or just forget the whole damn deal....WHO CARES! Live your life not your dreams!
-If you get into the recycling business that could be more profitable then the drug dealing and....hey hey hey.... it's legal!
-I think it's great that it is suggested that we learn how to use one of the most important and well known weapons in combat, next years ideas: RPG', grenades, machine guns. Etc.
-In the healthy sense of the word, stopping smoking is great but I've heard that being a quitter is not a fun thing either, maybe you can find a happy medium, switch the smoking to smoking pot and then you will be letting your drug dealing idea go up in flames, a positive use of its fruits!

I hope you enjoyed my variations on these few ideas. I enjoyed writing them. More will come soon you just have to wait for it!

It Keeps Gettin' Better....

Dear Reader,

Things have been quite busy in the last little while. I thought that I would bring you up to date because today is MY BIRTHDAY. I have received a number of birthday wishes from family and friends, and I have made it my job to personally send them a message back and thank them.

WORK
That’s right I currently have a job. I’m working for a company that I used to work for, that specializes in Rapid Prototyping. Some of you may not know what that is but if you look it up you will find out that it’s a special world for techies and there’s some interesting stuff that comes out of this type of work. I would put my company’s website up but I don’t have permission and I don’t know how they would feel knowing I am writing a blog post while at work. All the pressing things that were for me to do I have completed though. It’s nice to be back working and have an income that is regular and coming in. Sometimes it gets stressful but I have stated that I haven’t worked in 2 years so I need things to be easy for the first little bit. I have actually been working here a month, I almost forgot that. I am thinking about re-negotiating in January, more hours and such.

MOO NEWS
This weekend just past we had to give the babies their second set of booster needles. MJ, Nibbs, Mini B and Starlett were fab. I walked them over to the special pen, which is away from their mum’s and they are champion leaders. Mini B and Starlett can still have days where their attitude is quite prominent but this weekend they shone brightly. The kids are also exposed to the bull, Junior, who is their dad. I think they know that he is their daddy because they are very fond of him and spend a lot of time with him. Unfortunately, Junior’s time at the farm will be coming to an end soon because he has to move on to the next herd of ladies. He looks great this year, a lot better then last year. I got some pictures to post so I will try to remember to post them here as well. I’m hoping that we can get Junior again next year because the kids won’t be able to be bred so it will just be their mum’s that need servicing. The year after is when we will need to get a brand new hubba hubba for everyone. Junior will always have a warm place in my heart though because he helped create the wonderful kids that I have now.

THE HILLS
The Hills is turning out to be one of the best seasons ever. I know at the start I was complaining how it was slow and blah blah blah but it’s great. I re-neg all my previous statements. Each character is coming into their own and learning what is necessary as goals and wants and desires. Whitney has been lucky to get a spin-off from the hit tv show to create her own tv show called the City. This follows Whitney as she moves up in the fashion world and out to New York. The Speidi drama is rich as always and with a surprise turn, Heidi lost her job last night because she was drinking on the job. I think it’s going to get steam-ier with everyone.

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY
Just wanted to mention that my best friend, Rebecca celebrated her 26th birthday on October 29, 2008. I was silly and didn’t send her anything for that day but I made sure to make it up to her by posting some videos on YouTube and sending her something which arrived yesterday, Monday November 3, 2008. My other best friend, Meggy has her 26th birthday coming up which is November 9, 2008. Please be sure to drop by her blog http://www.aphoenixlament.blogspot.com/ and give her a happy birthday wish. Then on the 28th of November my friend Sher Bear has her 26th birthday coming up November 28. Happy Birthday Sher, not sure if you read my blog but a big shout out is going to you.

WRIT 2900
This is my writing course that I am currently enrolled in. I think we are in our 6th week of sessions… and I am in love with this course. It is making me push the envelope, experiment with point of view, look at narrative structure, write lyrical poetry and much more great stuff. The teachers are James Dewar and Sue Reynolds, who if you have read my blog taught the fabulous Erotic Writing workshops that I participated in. This course has nothing to do with erotic writing but it is well rounded and focusing on the rules of writing so that when we know them, then we can break them! I have learned so much and will continue to do so. This course is great and I am learning so much more then I thought I would. This course also brought some of my fellow colleagues from the WRIT 1900 to the forum and it is great to be in class with them again. They too are excelling in their own ways and developing a voice they can call their own.

RIDING LESSONS
My one student, a young girl the age of 9 completed her set of 6 (½) hour lessons, which was given to her as a birthday present from her Grandpa. She truly enjoyed the experience and got to test out both my small ponies, Stewart (on lease) and Casper. She was so smart as to want to switch riding them between lessons because she said that she liked them both and didn’t want one to get more attention then the other. This gave me warm tinglies because she really cared about the ponies, and that’s the first step. I have since been approached by a girl to give lessons and we had our first lesson on Sunday, November 2, 2008. The student really liked how I accommodated her and her horse and made exercises (on the spot) suitable for what her training needs are. She plans to be showing in the spring, and I hope I am her coach for that because I would really like that. If you are interested in lessons please leave me a message and I will get back to you asap.

Even though the posts have been sparse I am trying to bring you up to speed in each one. I know that I have to get back to doing it regularly. For my next post I think that I should do some fun facts or something. Give you faithfuls a laugh!!!

A Little Bit of Everything!

Dear Reader,
It has been quite some time since I have written, and I didn't think it was so bad until I got a message from a FAN saying “Write woman Write! I love your blog.” So getting a message like that has kicked me into to writing overdrive and I am going to give you the down low on absolutely everything that has been happening. Hope that is good for a refresher on my life!

MOO NEWS
I am happy to announce that all my calves have been born and they are growing tremendously. I have 3 wonderful little girls (Mini Mol aka MJ, Mini B, and Starlett) and a stubborn little boy (Nibbs). The mothers are happily letting my dad and I work with the babies, getting them used to having halters on and MJ has a solid grasp on being led around. We tried Nibbs and for the first time he did amazing, not a lot of fuss or any hullabaloo. Baby Starlett is the youngest but she is so young that she is taking everything in like a sponge which is amazing and useful for training purposes.

MY HAND .. Specifically My Pinky Fingy!
My cast came off on July 4 and I have been going to physio since. The doctor and my physio therapist were totally impressed that after 6 weeks from the break date, I had my full range of motion back. That takes a lot of work and a lot of persistence but I realized how important it was to get the use of all my fingers and wrist back. I have a splint that I am only supposed to wear when I am working with the cows because the fingy is not totally healed and it is for safety reasons, just in case anything happens. Can never predict anything when working with animals.

ANNOUNCEMENT
I am currently teaching horseback riding lessons, which I love to do. I am considering expanding my horse variety so that I can be more accomodating for potential students. My facility is located in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada. If you would like to contact me please leave me a message in the comments section so I can get back to you or drop me and email at Ginger_Girl_1010@yahoo.com with subject line as RIDING LESSONS.

WRITING
I have been working on collecting a list of words for when I am at my writing group. The list contains a variety but I am looking for suggestions. Any words out of the ordinary that are used in the English language would be great. If you would like to suggest anything please feel free to do so by leaving it in the comments section, and I can tell you guys how it went when I used it in my writing challenge!

MY LATEST PROJECT
I have been on a mission. The mission is to create a collection of 80's cartoons that I grew up with for my potential child, if there is one. I have already collected: HeMan and SheRa, Rainbow Brite, The Last Unicorn (movie), Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Ponies (movie), Jem and the Holograms, Astroboy, Sailor Moon, and the Jetsons. As I am getting these movies, I am watching them and it is like I am reliving my childhood. I loved each and everyone of these programs and if I have a child I would like them to grow up with the same tv that I did. Tv from the 80's is a lot different then cartoons from now. There is less violence but a ton of cliches. I know that dvd's don't last forever but I hope that these ones will last till when I need them!

A LITTLE DITTY .... AS A TREAT
Sitting at the counter of a restaurant I wait for my delicious treat that I have ordered. Time passes slowly as I wait. My sugar is low so I have the shakes but maybe I have them because of anticipation. I hear the machine blurring together my wonderful creation. I forget about the busy hum of the restaurant the door bell indicating when new customers have arrived or satisfied customers are leaving. I am in my own head space, trying to patiently await my treat. I watch the waitress carefully as she pours the silver canisters contents into and large glass. Thick and creamy.... She is sure to add all the canisters contents because she knows I am excited for my treat. Wiping the rim of the glass to make sure that presentation is perfect, she adds the finishing touch of a red and white striped straw.

“Here ya go!” She says with a huge smile.

“Thanks so much. I have been dying for one of these all day.”

I close my eyes and start to suck on the straw so that my palette is able to get a sweet taste. A thick sensation enters my mouth and I get the beginning of a brain freeze. I am not bothered by this small hinderance because it means that my milkshake is made to perfection. The rich vanilla flavour hits the spot on my tongue and my whole body relaxes with a yum.
Hope you enjoyed the milkshake ditty as much as I did because I have a craving now! Who knows maybe you will too!

Thanks for being true and sticking with me dear reader, even though I haven't written to you in quite some time. I plan to be more faithful and give my audience what they want. Humour, and stories with a dash of education!

First Night and Some Other News...

Dear Reader,

Tonight is the first night that I will be spending at the new digs. I have my book and my pjs ready and am bringing some popcorn in case I want to watch a movie on my laptop. No I don’t have any tv yet but the cable people are coming tomorrow so I will have to be at the apartment waiting for them, and with them they will bring tv channels and high speed internet. Since both my parents houses have dial up I can’t wait to get a decent internet connection with a little bit of zoom in it. I would have taken pics of the new digs but I forgot to bring my camera today with me when I was there for the aft. So you will have to wait but I caution you dear reader, you are going to love my apartment and the furniture that I have chosen, but NO you cannot have it. It’s mine, all mine.

HORSEY NEWS
My horse Cody, his rider Michelle, just finished riding him and she had him going the best she has ever had him going. There was no jumping tonight just flat work but it was hardcore and amazing. Michelle plans to show Cody this year and I think that will be a fun endeavour. Her riding is really coming along and she is getting her confidence back with each time she rides. No pics of the team yet but they will be coming, I will make sure that I get on that as well. Good luck to Cody and Michelle for an interesting and fun show season.

HILLS NEWS
For all the readers that know I am an avid the Hills fan. I have just gotten word that the new season will be starting on March 24, which is a Monday. Look forward to seeing how Lauren and Whitney did in Paris. Did Brody wait for Lauren to return and greet her with loving gestures? What did Audrina do while Lauren was away? How’s the Heidi and Spencer situation? Can’t wait…me neither so tune in on March 24 to see what happens.
