Third Time's a Charm

So I just got home from my writing class that I am taking. I am really enjoying listening to other peoples stories because it really displays how different all our talents are. Needless to say my topic stood out, which in my mind is a good thing. It earned me an A+ and I am damn proud. Enjoy my literally bliss!

A Provocative Secret

Mick is his name, but it could be anyone?
Walking down a dark hallway, goose bumps form on the back of his neck. At the end of his journey a door marked, “Private”. The doorman gives access to the room. A welcoming black satin couch, with cushy magenta tinted pillows waits. Hot pink satin curtains ensure no secrets escape. In a peach light, sequins sparkle and reflections dance. Latin music plays, a wordless melody with a sensual beat. Time moves slowly.
In saunters a scantily clad vixen making all the right things jiggle. Not sure whether her mother would be proud, she’s thankful for what mamma gave her. Skin the colour of ivory, lips the colour of blood, a black flowing cascade of hair. Leggy and trim like most of her kind.
“What’s the specialty tonight?” the vixen asks.
“I don’t know. I’ve never done this before,” responds Mick.
Sticking out her bottom lip and making sad eyes, “Poor puppy. You sound lost.”
“No…I’m pretty sure I’m in the right place,” Mick says with slight assurance.
Shimming her chest, she catches his attention. Twirling around like a firecracker, swaying her hips to capture the interest of anyone, let alone a man. Flowing with the sound of the music, you wouldn’t know she was an entertainer. In a commanding stance, she lifts her leg and gives her knee a sexy kiss. Then she places the leg behind Mick’s shoulder and starts to grind. Unhooking her bra with the finesse of a pro she continues. He reaches to grasp her fruitful breast.
The vixen quickly slaps his hand, and in a stern voice says, “NO touching.”
Mick is amazed with her rhythm and beauty. Just as the performance is coming to an end the vixen climbs a top the table; flirting with the pole, arousing her crowd of one. While doing the finishing move, her audience is captivated.
Flicking her flowing locks, “That’ll be $150.”
In awe Mick draws out $200. “There’s $150 plus a tip.” A jackass grin upon his face.
With a devilish smile the vixen hands him her sparkling bra, “And here’s your tip.”
As Mick leaves the secluded room, regret starts flowing through his veins. During the short drive home thoughts run through his head like a tap left on.
What have I done? What will I say?......How do I tell my wife?

Damn the Hills is so good!

Dear Reader,

As per usual I thought I would get a jump start on the blog post before the Hills is on and I am giving my re-cap for you. There was no Hills post last week because it was a catch up session and you guys are already caught up because I make sure that I tell you everything!

Creative writing school has been going really well and I am really enjoying it. I will tell you that I think this week’s story that I wrote is really HOT and I’m sure that you will love it. I was able to get the word count to under 400 just today so it has been tweaked to is best.

This weekend my student Kimmy had a show at PauseAwhile riding centre. She did really well. She got 4, 4, and 5 which was amazing considering she was showing against $50,000 horses, there were only two but that’s enough. The judge definitely had favourites for sure but I think she did really well. Avis as usual was amazing.

THE HILLS

So tonight was really interesting. The finger was actually pointed which I will get into a little later. There was a re-uniting of friends, whether it’s good or not is still to be decided. Friendships did get stronger and more honest though and that happened more than once. Let’s get to the important part, the re-cap!

Re-Cap
- Whitney asked LC about Vegas and was told that Brody and LC hooked up as well as there were issues with Audrina and J Bobby involving LC
- Jen texts LC to talk(LC really didn’t look to excited about this)
- LC tells Audrina about Jen asking to talk to her, Audrina finds it weird
- LC apologizes to Audrina re the J Bobby issues and she’s afraid that Audrina will leave and that’s not what she wants to happen at all
- Audrina is happy LC made that step and accepts the apology
- LC meets up with Lo and tells her that she apologized to Audrina re the J Bobby situation and Lo says that J Bobby is a loser
- LC tells Lo that she’s meeting with Jen, Lo doesn’t want Jen to hurt LC again so she advises LC to stay away, (she’s being protective)
- Brent has a meeting with Heidi, Heidi says that it was Elodie’s fault that the event wasn’t covered properly and blah blah blah
- Brent wasn’t happy the event wasn’t taken care of and he says to Heidi that she has to be 100% on her game because this shouldn’t have happened a first time and it’s not going to happen a second time
- LC meets Jen for lunch, and you can tell the tension because there isn’t much talking
- Jen asked how LC handled the rumour situation, LC said not well but was glad that Jen didn’t call because she wasn’t ready to talk to her
- Jen informs LC that she had lunch with Heidi and that according to Heidi, Brody is the cause of the rumours
- LC says she doesn’t believe it and that Heidi will blame anyone just to take the bad attention away from herself
- LC comes home and tells Audrina that she went to lunch with Jen and that she is not mad at Jen anymore
- LC and Audrina agree that Brody is not a troublemaker so they find it hard to believe that he would start nasty rumours about LC when he was friends with her the whole time
- Spencer is mad that Brent was pissed off at Heidi for the event screw up and says that you can’t depend on anyone anymore
- Audrina and J Bobby go out to play pool and have a relaxing eve
- Audrina tells J Bobby about the talk she and LC had and that LC apologized
- Audrina says maybe something will spark between LC and Brody
- LC meets Brody for dinner at a nice Chinese restaurant
- They both agree they had fun in Vegas and really enjoyed each others company
- Brody gets told by LC that Heidi is saying he spread the rumour about LC
- LC wants Brody to be honest and he tells her “I know for 100% fact they did it”
- LC and Whitney talk about dinner with Brody at work the next day
- LC says that Brody never says anything bad about anyone, a quality she really likes
- Whitney thinks that it was Spencer that started the rumour and LC agrees
- Jen and Heidi meets for lunch, Jen acts weird and then she tells Heidi that she went to lunch with LC
- Heidi says that it’s great to hear the Jen and LC are friends again, Heidi also responds and says that if her and LC can put what happened behind them they could try and be friends again
- Jen tells Heidi what Brody told LC
- Heidi gets upset that Jen is asking her to verify if this is true
- Heidi ends up leaving lunch asap
- Heidi goes home to Spencer and tells him about lunch with Jen
- Heidi tells him that the rumour is that Spencer is the one spreading all these rumours
- Spencer gets ticked and calls Brody a bitch and says he’s shady
- Heidi feels bad that everyone is blaming Spencer

So it was a big night for LC. She was finding out who her true friends are and also who her real enemies are. LC is lucky to have a friend like Lo because she’s always got her back and doesn’t want to see LC get hurt. They both realize that Jen is shady but I was surprised that LC forgave her, I would have thought that she would keep her distance still just because Jen is not trust worthy. She burned LC once before and I bet she would do it again. It was good that LC patched things up with Audrina because it shows that the friendship is important to her and that she did bugger things up by being judgemental of J Bobby. Brody proved to be trustworthy yet again. I wish they would just hook up, they know they mean a lot to each other and stuff…..get it on already. As far as Heidi is concerned, she deserved that tongue lashing by Brent. She deserved more trouble then that even because she really could have screwed up the event. The one thing I don’t like is that Jen is trying to play Heidi and LC again too and that’s another reason I think that LC will get burned by her. We all pretty much feel that if it wasn’t Heidi and Spencer that started the rumour is sure as hell was Spencer. He’s so conniving and when Heidi and LC were having their issues he just made it 100 times worse. If he just kept to himself and wasn’t such a loser sometimes it would have made it easier on everyone and Heidi and LC might still be friends. I wonder if Spencer thinks he will make a billion dollars before he’s 30 by spreading rumours?

The Second Can't Always Be Better Than the First

This is my second piece of writing that I read tonight in my Creative Writing course. The task was to write about a person, a character within your life. Now in writer terms you are spoused to 'show don't tell'. The task was challenging and earned me a decent grade but before I read it I knew it was a little to much tell. I was at a point where I couldn't change what I has prepared, so I stuck to my guns. Enjoy!

Write About A Person

Her real name is Kimmy, but she responds to many other names; Duckie being her most favourite. At the youthful age of 19, she intends to make her dreams come true by riding to success. To her the world is harmless, and she is quite naïve; probably hasn’t been hurt by many yet to callous her warm heart. Eyes radiating with happiness, except when full concentration is necessary. Brown hair with strands of sunshine, tucked precisely under a helmet for protection. The classic style of her riding is becoming forgotten in the competitive horse world, which sets Kimmy apart from the rest. The other half of Kimmy is her trusty mount known as Avis.

An older horse, but competitive in all sense of the word, Avis is Kimmy’s partner. A large, beautiful black horse with a troubled past, is finally given the second chance he deserves. Avis with a heart of gold, carries his captain around with the utmost of confidence, listening solely to what she tells him, seldom questioning her commands. At shows his alter ego is Mystere, a show horse presented professionally, keen to jump to new heights. In the sport of horseback riding, “Actions speak louder then words,” is but a figment of the truth.

For both, this is a new beginning; with each other and in the sport. Avis had a few riders before but his chemistry with Kimmy is special. With each beat of his canter, their bond becomes stronger. They share a language known only to them. Arguments go on unspoken, and a grudge is never held. The pair equal an explosion of passion, promise and classic style. The bond formed between the two is unique to say the least. The norm for a bond to be formed is years, so they are moving at a stellar pace in the three months they have been together. Avis trusts Kimmy and has the belief that he can do anything. Kimmy is learning that trust must be reciprocated to make the partnership stronger.

One day Kimmy could be an Olympian. For now she is working on getting her career started, and I am lucky and proud to say that I am her coach.

Return of KOJAK THE LUMBER JACK (just slightly different!)

Part 1 - The initial cut and the first TIMBERRRR!!!!!!
Part 2 - Ferrying the loads of limbs to the trailer
Part 3 - Carrying the last reminants of the tree to be put in the truck. A job well done!

Dear Reader,

From previous posts you can tell that I am a jack of all trades. I bake, cross stitch, knit, tend to my blog (THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THEM ALL!) and do a variety of other things. Well I seem to have inherited that trait from my dad. His full time job is being a veterinarian, and of course with the funny farm and the addition of the cows he can call himself a farmer too. He also dabbles in woodworking, mild mechanics and a variety of other things when there is something that needs fixing. Well today was interesting because my dad brought me along on a journey that took him to his co-worker Betty’s house to cut down a tree that had died this year in her yard. Now this is no task for the average joe, you have to be well skilled in the using of a chain saw and then be tidy because you are doing a job for someone. Here’s where the funny part comes in, before I was born my dad had a shaved head (right to the skin) and a handle bar mustache, and his nickname was KOJAK THE LUMBER JACK. It’s funny how today he had reverted back to his roots and entered the wood cutting skill of Kojack once again. While dad was slicing and dicing the dead tree I went around Betty’s backyard and took snapshots of things that I thought were interesting or I just really liked. Then it came to be work time for me. Dad had chopped a fair bit of the tree down, actually all the limbs, so we started the easy task of ferrying them to the trailer and coming back with an empty wheelbarrow ready to take another load.. Once that part was done dad had to do the final job of actually making it look like the tree didn’t exist, the final cut that truly opened up the back yard. With one swift stroke with the chainsaw it was as if the tree had never been rooted there before. Betty was happy that we were able to do her a favour as well as visit with us. She was so thankful that she showered us with gifts before we left. So that goes to show you dear reader that not all good deeds go unnoticed.

COWS

My dear calflings are doing excellent. They have large round bellies that never go empty for even the slightest second. They have whiskers like an old man and they are only 3 months for Ben and Sparty and 2 months for Newt. Today was interesting though, and I will tell you why. I took the feed out tonight and was able to get it all ready before the HERD came rushing over to get their din din. It was great because I was able to get a picture of the rush and the dash over, everyone mooing with excitement that they were getting fed. The cows and calves are a great pleasure of mine and I have really enjoyed watching them grow. Even when you can see the slightest bit of weight gain on them, you feel a true sense of accomplishment. I am going to leave you with some pictures of the darlings because I haven’t in a while. Enjoy, hopefully as much as I do!

Ben, Newt, and Sparty enjoying their dinner.

What do you do when.....

What do you do when your world is just in a tumultous spinning frenzy?
What do you do when you feel that everything has truly gone to shit?
What do you do when you feel like you haven’t got a hope in the world?
What do you do when everything surrounds you is frightening?
What do you do when anxiety is all your life is full of?
What do you do when you feel you have no one to go to?

These feelings are all so horrific but life is horrific sometimes. Various people abandon you for certain feelings and emotions, maybe even for things that are out of your control. The breed of people that stick by you through thick and thin is dying as I write these words. Few people can be trusted and even when ‘tested’ then still can’t hold up to the challenge. When your brain doesn’t get a peaceful moment for a longtime, what else can you expect but anxious spinning feelings. When you are afraid of everything except 2 places, you’re forced into hermit status. That’s ok I have a lot of books and movies to keep me semi entertained but that only lasts so long. How many times are you to hear the same phrase over and over or read the same line again and again. The feeling that maybe intimacy is not possible for you because you have ‘bigger EMOTIONAL fish to fry’. What if you crave intimacy but are not in a place to deal with the emotions that will come, where do you go from there…. I am at a loss. Most things puzzle me right now. I wander around in a hopeless daze. I have learned to build up my façade so most people think I am functioning at a really good level. Reality… I don’t know if you want to know reality… it’s a lot to bear, even for myself. The few I trust and have told my emotions to are bound by confidentiality to keep it between me and them. Quite sad when confidentiality is the only factor that makes a trustful relationship. I have read the poem Invictus by William Ernest Henley (which means unconquerable) many times, and I keep coming to the same jump off point… I am being conquered by my emotions. How do I get away from this place and conquer those emotions so that I can live up to my potential? The answer is lost in the great unknown to me, when I will find it is unsure. Maybe one day myself and it will cross paths and I will be taught a new language or code to deal with such hell. Answer, please come to me….I could use your help.

My First Assigment as a WRITER!!!

Dear Reader,

Yesterday my writing was triumphant in my night course. I was able to get up infront of the class and read my heart and soul out. Sure at times tears were brought to my eyes and my heart was worn on my sleeve. There really was no other options for me last night though. So with you I share my first writing assignment, which earned an A:

Why Do I Write
The feeling of the keys clicking underneath my fingertips is a place I call home. Waiting with glee for the printer to finish putting the last touches of ink on the product. The warmth of the sheets as they come shooting out of the photocopier. Sometimes writing just comes, flowing out of my brain directly to my fingers without a second thought. The smooth casing of the pencil gliding through my hand as I etch a code known only to me. The scratching of the lead on the paper, making a reality of such thoughts.
Never really have been asked why I write, and the answer is multifarious. In this place, I can write whatever I want and not be judged. I can encourage, inform, motivate, and ponder when my fingers start keyboarding. Captivating people and predicting their response for a sense of accomplishment. Telling my stories for the few that want to hear them. Percolating ideas, not just my own but arousing other peoples ideas. Saying goodbye to something that was very dear to me and has passed on to the greener pastures up in the heavens. To release emotion and not have it weigh deep within the depths of my stomach. Repeating those angry words, which you could not release for fear of how hurt the other person might feel or the thought of how painful the outcome could be. Creating humour, allowing people to express laughter, the most healing emotion of them all. The opportunity to be calm and rid the tempestuous anxiety for a few minutes. Becoming at one with the environment and self, knowing that everything is going to be ok even when it’s not.
Writing is not just a passion or job but a tool of many kinds. It can carve, chisel, burn, hammer and so many other actions. Without writing life would be a blank canvas without any paint splashed upon it. Without any colour or pictures to create emotion in its audience. With no place to put my ideas, whether it be on display or even a private show, emotions would be left inside, boiling like an angry pot of water that never gets taken off the stove. Writing is my sanctuary.

It's A Celebration!!! (In more ways then one!)

Dear Reader,

Well I have been busy for quite some time now and am finally getting a jump start on my blog post for tonight.

YESTERDAY

Yesterday I took my riding student Kimmy to a horseshow at Pickering Horse Centre. We did the 3 foot Training Jumper Division as it was appropriately named. Kimmy rode well and Avis went well except for lazy legs which kept giving Kimmy one rail per round. The wait was yet again ridiculous just as at Foxhunter, but I like Pickering better. The show was very competitive and gave Kimmy a taste of what it would be like to show against people she would be showing with at the Trillium level. I tried to smarten Avis up by making him jump higher and hopefully hit a few rails in the warm up ring but he thwarted my efforts and was jumping 4 feet clean and solid. Silly little jerk he is sometimes. Kimmy came away with a 7th place, which some may say is not that great but she really enjoyed herself and had FUN. The most important part of the game. Congrats Kimmy and Avis…..back to hunter to prepare for some other schooling shows!

SEPTEMBER 24, 2007

I was at school, at Seneca College, and asked to write this piece of writing which I plan to share with you. We were told to use our senses and make the picture very vivid for the reader. I hope you enjoy my little ditty.

A Stroll in the Park
I walk in solitude, in an extraordinary area known as, The Park. A bubbling brook tries to have a discussion with objects surrounding it. Maybe that brook is asking a question or two relating to time and destiny. The sky as blue as a sapphire that has been pulled out of hiding. Wind blowing softly, while a warm sun kisses your cheeks. Across the park you recognize a dog barking gleefully as it plays with its owner. Walking amongst the fall colours, while crisp leaves crunch beneath your feet. The boundary around the park is a mountainous range of houses. The constant him of a busy town is always present. Even though the area is surrounded and you know the town is not far, the lush green grass, fresh with flowing chlorophyll, takes you back to a place where you are calm and at one with yourself.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2007

This was the night I started my creative writing night course. I was nervous at first because I didn’t really know what I was going to be getting. When I got there the room was packed with unfamiliar faces and it appeared that I was the youngest one there. We were given our first writing assignment which I will post on here after tomorrow night because I will know how it stood up against the class. It’s a solid piece and it’s really flowing which I like. It has a personal touch to it which is always nice. I think this class will be a great teaching method and I will learn a lot. Look for works to come as well, like I said we get a writing assignment every week and there are 9 weeks worth of assignments. Only one is out of the way!

THE HILLS

Tonight was the night where Heidi finally got what she deserves for screwing Elodie out of a position that she deserved. It plays out more perfect then the HILLS fan would predict. There are starting to be little holes that are growing in Spencer and Heidi’s relationship. It’s nice because I’m not as big a Spencer fan anymore. This episode is really about fun and friends taking a stand. Here it comes the infamous recap:

ReCap
- Audrina, LC, and Lo are going to Vegas for Brody’s bday
- J-Bobby is flying there with the girls
- LC says the girls appearing in Vegas for Brody is his gift
- Heidi and Spencer’s one year anniversary is coming up

- J-Bobby is bringing his guitar and when asked if he will serenade the girls by Lo he ignores her
- Brody and the boys are at his suite at the Palms hotel in Vegas
- When Brody opens the door LC jumps into his arms for a big hug, and then greets Frankie with a hug
- The group starts to toast Brody for his bday and J-Bobby chooses not to participate
- Elodie doesn’t like the Heidi situation at work so she gave her notice
- Elodie thinks it will be easier to go elsewhere to move up b/c Brent didn’t give her the opportunity
- Brent asks Heidi if she is ready for the Emmy’s and Heidi tells him it’s her and Spencer’s anni so she wants to spend it with him but she will have everything ready ahead of time
- Heidi talks to Elodie to get her to cover the Emmy’s for her
- Elodie plays it cool and says yes even though she knows she won’t be working
- LC and Lo talk about J-Bobby being weird and they make a bet on who will be the first to get him to smile
- At the club Brody proclaims he has the most beautiful date, which is LC
- Brody and LC talk about Heidi and Spencer not being there to celebrate his birthday

- It’s agreed that Spencer and Heidi cause drama, and the group doesn’t want drama
- Lo does a “Britney” and flashes her crotch
- Frankie advises Brody to get with LC
- The girls are living it up poolside the next day at the Palms
- Lo is bothered that J-Bobby won’t be nice
- Lo makes the comment that since Jason is taken LC should hook up with Brody
- Girls are hoping that Audrina is ok because they haven’t heard from her since they saw her the night before at the bar
- The group goes to Pure NightClub in Vegas to celebrate
- LC gives Brody a mega birthday kiss!!!!
- Brody and LC are making goo goo eyes at each other all night
- Heidi and Spencer are just arriving at Don Antonios for their anni dinner
- Heidi thinks it’s so nice of Spencer all the things he has done to celebrate their anni
- The girls ask Audrina where J-Bobby is and take note that he has disappeared
- The girls are chit chatting on the rotating bed in Brody’s suite
- Audrina gets upset and yells “I know you guys don’t like Justin, I get it ok!”
- Audrina leaves in a huff and LC goes out to sit by the pool to cool off
- During dinner Heidi gets a phone call and finds out that Elodie has quit and that she has to leave her anni dinner to save her own butt
- Spencer gets pissed and says that Heidi doesn’t love him
- Heidi says that they have to leave and she has to go to work
- Brody is sitting out by the pool with LC and trying to clarify the LC, J-Bobby and Lo situation
- LC gets a little huffy but Brody just brushes it off and cuddles her up
- Brody says that he likes J-Bobby and that J-Bobby has the problem with Lo, not LC
- Brody states that he likes LC
- Brody suggests that him and LC take a nap outside by the pool, and they end up cuddling close in each others arms

Now if that was not a good episode then Reader I don’t know what you think a good episode is. I really like the Brody and LC combo and really want them to hook up for real this time. The look on Brody’s face when LC and the girls surprised him was great and he was really happy to see LC there. Frankie is totally right in saying that Heidi buggered up their first chance. Heidi is burning all her bridges and it looks good on her. Like her mother asked her, “When Spencer leaves, what are you going to have left in the way of friendships?” Elodie was supposed to be Heidi’s big buddy at work and she screwed her over. Heidi used to be BFF’s with LC and she buggered that up so bad that she can’t even communicate with the associates, ie. Whitney, Audrina and Lo. Spencer was really bratty when she said that she had to go to work too. Heidi mentioned that he was the one all for her getting the promotion and then when she has to stand up and do her job he gets bitchy…HELLO, what’s with that? The J-Bobby scenario is tricky because I don’t really like how he treats Audrina, some of his points are right but he is making it hard for her, and Lo should back off a little bit. Audrina is starting to get upset about them ragging on about J-Bobby too, hopefully this doesn’t ruin the friendship she has with LC. LC couldn’t take that trauma again I don’t think. The previews looked great too!! Go TEAM LC AND BRODY!!! MACK IT UP!!!!!
