DON'T WASTE THE PRETTY GIRLS

Dear Reader,

The last post was about a guy from my past and that my lesson was learned. Well I thought my lesson was learned and that I was going to stay away from this guy…ha not so easy. I was going to message him the other day and then I didn’t but tonight my will power failed greatly. I messaged him and it was a big mistake because I should have just let well enough alone. I finished reading HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. I read this book to stick with my last post and be strong and I really did learn a lot from the book again. It got me thinking about people from my past and things that are going on currently. It would appear that both the guys that were ‘into me’ are clearly not. It’s a tough pill to swallow when you come to the realization that a guy isn’t into you, he may be into the idea of you but not the real thing. So for the ladies that check out my blog a bit I am going to put up the a few things that I learned from the book. (*Note that these things are quoted directly from the book and if you think about it they do make sense)

STANDARD SUGGESTIONS
- I will not go out with a man who hasn’t asked me out first.
- I will not go out with a man who keeps me waiting by the phone.
- I will not date a man who isn’t sure he wants to date me.
- I will not date a man who makes me feel sexually undesirable.
- I will not date a man who drinks or does drugs to an extent that makes me uncomfortable.
- I will not be with a man who’s afraid to talk about our future.
- I will not, under any circumstances, spend my precious time with a man who has already rejected me.
- I will not date a man who is married.
- I will not be with a man who is not clearly a good kind, loving person.

(Reader- I will admit to you now, I have broken every suggestion except the married man one. It’s sad but it’s true.)

SEEMINGLY INNOCENT WORDS AND PHRASES THAT CAN ALSO BE USED FOR EVIL

(Key for below) Word - WHAT IT SHOULD MEAN: - WHAT IS SOMETIMES MEANS:
Friend- I would never do anything to intentionally hurt you. -I’m just not that into you.
Busy- I was just inaugurated president of the United States today.- I’m just not that into you.
Bad Boy -A guy you should stay away from. -A guy you should stay away from.
I’m not ready -I can’t find my pants. -I’m just not that into you.
Call me -I just dropped my cell phone in the ocean and I lost your number. -I’m just not that into you.
Not into family- I don’t want to date your mom. -I’m just not that into you.
Fear of intimacy -A fear of being intimate. -I’m just not that into you.

(Reader- I will admit again that I have had every single one of these excuses. Why I fell for that stupid bullshit I have no idea, there’s a variety of reasons for sure.)

None of us women should be running around chasing guys that don’t want to put the time and effort into us like we are willing to do for them. (Funny enough as I write this post I am listening to the song HURTS TO LOVE YOU by the Philosopher Kings) Fate can be a real stunner sometimes and it can knock you on your ass big time. This is not the first time I have been disappointed that a guy was not into me but geez I keep falling for it. You would think I would learn my lesson, I just don’t know why it’s not sticking

The best quote I got from this book was

DON’T WASTE THE PRETTY

On a side note, I had a pretty good Christmas. My parents and I spent the day together yesterday. The day was filled with lots of good food and other good things. My mum watched Mr. Beans Holiday and found it medium and even though we didn’t have a Christmas tree a very dear person gave me a tree that can be used for every Christmas and it doesn’t take a lot to put up….THANK YOU! A shout out to my parents for giving me really good gifts but having a good day with me! The dogs loved their gifts and the cats haven’t really realized there’s gifts for them yet. Today wasn’t too bad, I helped out with the barn but then I did a whole lot of nothing. I took some pics of the farm and how the frost was on the trees, some good ones for the collection. The top half of the blog post really explains how I am feeling though.

Lesson Learned

Dear Reader,

I did one of the silliest things that I have ever done last night. I actually met up with a guy from my past, our history was bad, and then brought him home without my dad knowing. I feel uber guilty for what I did, and a few people are disappointed with me, most of all I am disappointed in myself. Letting this person in my house while dad was sleeping was a huge sign of disrespect for my father. I am not going to tell him because he would lose it right now if I did and that would be the end of me probably. I told two people that are close to me and they are not happy with the decision I made and quite frankly neither am I. I thought this person had really changed and was trying to be different, but I am going to say this to you reader…. I am very fragile right now. For those who know me and have talked to me they know the reasons, for you reader I will just keep it in easy going terms (…I am fragile). If you reader asked me why I did what I did, I can’t really tell you what possessed me. I was so anxious that all I could do the entire time was shake like a leaf. Nothing happened and my 2nd virginity is still in tact. Maybe I was trying to rebel, maybe it was impulse, maybe it was something I don’t really know or understand yet. The first step is admitting that I did something wrong, and I fully take responsibility. The second step is making sure I don’t find myself in the same situation with the same person. This might be hard but this is where I need to think about myself, what I can handle and what the future may lead to. For myself I need to say no because I need to have confidence, dignity and respect for me so that I don’t put myself in that situation again. The idea of being able to handle the situation is out of the question, I plain out cannot handle it or the drama it will bring. For the future I think this would lead me in the wrong direction, make things at home worse then they already are with my dad, and it could lead to me getting burned.

I have to be strong and stand up for myself, and that’s what I need to keep repeating in my mind. I have to think of how an adult would handle the situation, and I clearly did not handle it like an adult. I handled the situation like a rebellious teenager. A rebellious teenager I am not. Sticking with my beliefs and ‘guns’ is what will make me stronger and let me learn from this situation, and that’s what I have to do… no other options with suffice.

TRIBUTE TO WRIT 1900

Dear Reader,

I have a story to tell and it is regarding my eventful night. Here it goes

TRIBUTE TO WRIT 1900

I write this with a tear making a slow and steady path down my cheek. I feel a sense of loss but there is no real loss only plenty of gain. I’ve learned through experience and met people who I’ve made friendships with that are very special.

Tonight was the last night of my Creative Writing class taught by Dorothea Helms. We had a variety of guests: a published fiction writer, a travel writer/screenplay writer, a teacher and writer of health issues, an accountant who dabbles as a writer and is awaiting to have a novel published, a published dairy farm owner, a writer of computer and automotive journalism, and last but certainly not least a writer for a travel magazine as well as a woodworking magazine. We as a class were delighted to be in the company of such writers and their creative minds. Inspirations flowing from many forums and through many veins, not being able to pinpoint a single source, we as a class were mesmerized. These people not only shared their experience and ideas but most of them read a piece that they had written. This was important to me the most because every writer has a different voice and even though these people were from all different walks, I could see a tiny bit of my own voice repeated in theirs. Creativity coming out of every pore, eyes staring in awe, brains working to comprehend a dream that is now reachable. The speakers tonight did not only make writing a reality to us, me especially, but they also inspired us each in a different way to push on.

Many thanks go through my mind when thinking about the past ten weeks that the course has been running. Thanks to Dorothea for jumpstarting something in me that I do not know what power it possesses or where it will take me, but I am willing to pilot the ride. Thanks to several classmates who I bonded with, you guys were there for me and I really appreciate every word and every sentence you said to me. Each of you a talent hidden like a diamond in the rough, yet Dorothea has come and uncovered you making your talent a little bit more known then before. The hugs and care you guys gave me meant more then words can say.

I, Sarah Gall, am a writer. I know not where my path leads me but like Robert Frost’s The Road Less Travelled, I am that traveler gazing down the two paths. Unsure where each will lead me, I take the road less traveled and am waiting with patience to see what trysts, stories and triumphs it has to offer.

YippyKyYeahhhhhhh!!!!!

Dear Reader,

Well I’m going to get straight to the point because I really didn’t do anything exciting last night and I wanted to try and get to bed a little earlier because I had to get up early this morn.

Movie Review – LIVE HARD, DIE FREE

This was a great movie. It was probably the best out of the die hard trilogy. Bruce Willis is a bit deranged but some of the stunts and crap that he goes through he pretty amazing. I bet he got beat up a little bit making this movie but it was totally worth it. This movie’s plot involved a lot of computer/technology based stuff but for us non-techies it was completely fine. Really it added to the action because things could get done a lot faster and be more destructive. I will admit this movie grazed the sappy meter because it introduced McClane’s daughter but she was just like him so when she gets caught by the bad guys she fights like hell, which they don’t expect from her. It opened the door a little bit for a die hard 4 to be made but I’m not sure. Sometimes the best idea is to quit while you’re ahead! I found Justin Long’s character was very good and I was expecting somebody different for the character of THE WARLOCK, so hopefully you will be as surprised as I was. Timothy Oliphant was a great bad guy, he usually plays a bad guy well though. This time he was the baddest, meanest guy with a vengeance, it was perfect.

I don’t really know what more to say about the movie without giving the whole story away. Action = AMAZING, Characters = AMAZING, stunts= AMAZING, everything about this movie = AMAZING. You should definitely watch it … YippyKyYeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

NOTE
= Tonight is good tv nights, as the regulars know the Hills is on as well as the finale of Dancing With the Stars. Go MEL B!!!!!!!!!

Dinner and A Movie = Perfecto

Dear Reader,

I had the pleasure of dining at home and enjoying a lovely homemade meal of fish and chips. The fish was done in bread crumbs that were crushed up to perfection. The fish was Alaskan Pollock which wasn’t too bad either, it wasn’t really fishy which is to my liking. Then fried in a pan with browned butter the bread crumbs crisped up to a golden delicacy. Then dad took it a step further and made homemade chips which topped the meal off to T. It was by far one of the better meals that my dad has made, and the fish was truly excellent.

Now that I have you frothing at the mouth for something tasty I will move on to the reason of my post:

Movie Review – CASINO ROYALE

I have never really been a fan of Bond movies and I never thought that anyone but a brunette could play bond. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, those Bond’s all had dark hair. Well I was fooled last night. Last night the Premiere of Casino Royale on the free movie network was happening at 9 pm. I thought I’ve heard a lot of good things about this movie and even though I don’t like Bond movies I thought I would give it a try. Damn good job that I did because I thought the movie was friggin’ awesome. The action catches the audience right from the beginning of the movie and doesn’t really stop. There was no chance the audience could predict what was going to happen next or anything of the like. I would like to say KUDOS to Chris Cornell (formerly of Audioslave and Soundgarden) to writing an amazing opening song for the movie. The song captured the action, the power bond has over the women, and just how smart a spy he really is. I was amazed at how much I truly liked this film. One of my fav. Lines:

Bond: I’d like a martini please (said in hot british accent)
Bar Skip: Would you like that shaken or stirred sir?
Bond: Frankly, do I look like I give a damn!

The leading lady that caught Bond’s attention was definitely not one of my favourite. I don’t really like Eva Green as an actress, I find her quite dull. The Dame Judi Dench as M, Bond’s boss is phenomenal. She’s a get to the point, no bullshit kinda gal, and she pulls off the role stunningly with class of course. Now lets get to the real main object of our affection, Daniel Craig as 007, James Bond. He has the body of a god ( as demonstrated in the picture below) and the ego of one as well. He deems himself untouchable for a while until a certain part in the movie where his mission is almost compromised. Another great point is that Bond admits that he would rather have a relationship with married women then single, single being just not his type. He made for a really good Bond, a lot better then I expected and I regret having watched the movie so late. Yes it saved me a little bit of dough but it would have been worth it to dish out in the end because I was so impressed with the movie.

HAIRSPRAY = POO

Dear Reader,

I must say that I have come down with the worst case of the trots I’ve had in a while. I mean my bum is VERY sore, I know this isn’t the sort of reading that you would like to have but hey it’s my blog, I write what I want! Within the hour I have shat about 7-8 times and gotten past the liquid lava stage but now my stomach is grinding and just not being nice. It’s probably some of the best exercise, running up and down the stairs at a very quick speed, not only am I tired from that but everything in general. Today has not been a good day, slept in total for 5 hours in naps…..

That’s a perfect segway into what I really want to talk about:

Movie Review – HAIRSPRAY

This movie was supposed to be great, one of the best for films. I beg to disagree. This movie in my opinion was garbage. The only thing I liked about it was when Queen Latifah had her singing her songs. She’s got a wonderful voice and you could bet that she really did sing her parts. The other characters I’m not so sure. When they were singing they just looked super fake, it was like one giant BAD music video. The main character played by Nicki Blonsky, I really didn’t like but the one thing I liked about her was she went against everyone and helped with stopping the segregation of the Black people. The dancing in the movie wasn’t that great, there are way better dancing movies out there so please if that’s what you are in the mood for don’t pick up this movie. Next topic, John Travolta in a woman’s fat suit. I really didn’t like him as the mother and he still sounded like a man (well more like a transvestite and I have no problem with them) I just don’t think the role was for him. He was really phony and besides I HATE JOHN TRAVOLTA. Sure he’s been in a few good movies but I really don’t like him I find him irritating. Amanda Bynes did an excellent job of singing and playing a role that really is different from all her other roles but here’s the thing I think she’s great and liked all the movies she has done! Christopher Walken was really good as the dad and was really supportive of his daughters dream, I really liked that feature. He did a really good job of dancing and singing and he was fun to watch!

Overall I don’t like the movie but there are actors that did a great job with what they had to do for the movie. It was probably a really demanding role to take but for some of the actors they would be used to that type of demanding role. By far I did NOT like this movie, wasn’t near as good as I was expecting…such a shame really! Oh well I have 4 other movies to watch!

Hiatus Put to an END!!!

Dear Reader,

So I have been on a temporary hiatus from the blog. I am not the only one either, (opinionistas and stay-at-home-maven), so your eyes must be wanting a delicious readerly treat. When us bloggers go on a hiatus, what do you spend your time doing rather than reading our pages? Maybe you play games, look after your kids, get drunk, smoke a joint, watch a movie, etc. I would like to know though if you send me a response that would be awesome.

My creative writing class is amazing but unfortunately next week will be the last class. There are a few of the people in the class that I want to keep in touch with so I made sure to get their emails, the rest don’t really matter to me. For some reason talking with them outside of class is not going to happen but it’s no biggie for me. In this course I have learned not only to be a writer but how to write well. I have to thank my wonderful teacher Dorothea Helms, without her encouragement and interesting assignments I would be no where (literally). I have learned the concept of ‘show don’t tell’ and I seem to get it pretty well. Some pieces have been good and moving for the audience, other pieces have been very vulnerable and moved me to tears in front of the audience. Some stories I have posted here for you readers to read and enjoy, and I still may post some but not tonight, tonight is shear catch up night.

I have been watching the Hills avidly and loving every minute. So much has happened that I can’t really begin to do a re-cap. I will mention that Lauren and Whitney are doing fab at Teen Vogue and did excellent on the Marc Jacobs show for The Young Hollywood party. Heidi is still head over heels for Spencer, which is a bit unfortunate but you reap what you sew. She’s just distancing herself from everything that she knows as familiar as she gets more tangled in the Spencer Webb. Someone I have been missing is Brody, come back please, you and Lauren make me so excited when I’m watching, I miss the love connection. Audrina is doing excellent, she got a promotion at Epic Records and I’m not too sure but things with J-Bobby might be on the rocks. She did great on her first shoot though which was with Sean Kingston doing the Jimmy Kimmel show. You go Audrina, you have worked a lot of shitty jobs to get to where you are, smell and then seize what little power you have! Lauren has launched her clothing line, there are only 15 pieces but they are mostly mini-dress style. I was a little hurt I will say though because the clothing line doesn’t really even address large size girls that might to support Lauren and wear the cool clothing…more or less ME. I guess not all fashion designers are going to address the large crowd, here’s a few: Juicy Couture, Versace, Chanel, etc. I know that I couldn’t afford the clothing but I would at least like to look at it in my size!

ANTM has been really good. I must say that last night was the first time I had watched in a while. My girl Heather was almost booted off but she was kept because her Covergirl photo was phenomenal. I am still hoping that Heather will pull out all the stops and then win the competition, it would say a lot for all those watching that have an illness like Asperger’s Syndrome or ADHD. We need a winner that is relatable, would change how ANTM is viewed by millions.

I have been watching DANCING WITH THE STARS, and am slightly addicted but not past a reasonable point. The only couple I like to see dance is Mel B (Scary Spice) and Maks, although Helio and Julianne are hot on their tails. I am not totally addicted but I like watching dancing shows what can I say. When I get married I would love to dance a Viennese Waltz or even better a Paso Doble as my first dance but I would want to learn it properly so that it looks beautiful. A dream it is, yep!

I don’t really know what else to write. I know it doesn’t make up for the length of the hiatus but I have a stack of movies to watch so there will be some reviews coming your way. Be prepared dear reader!

Third Time's a Charm

So I just got home from my writing class that I am taking. I am really enjoying listening to other peoples stories because it really displays how different all our talents are. Needless to say my topic stood out, which in my mind is a good thing. It earned me an A+ and I am damn proud. Enjoy my literally bliss!

A Provocative Secret

Mick is his name, but it could be anyone?
Walking down a dark hallway, goose bumps form on the back of his neck. At the end of his journey a door marked, “Private”. The doorman gives access to the room. A welcoming black satin couch, with cushy magenta tinted pillows waits. Hot pink satin curtains ensure no secrets escape. In a peach light, sequins sparkle and reflections dance. Latin music plays, a wordless melody with a sensual beat. Time moves slowly.
In saunters a scantily clad vixen making all the right things jiggle. Not sure whether her mother would be proud, she’s thankful for what mamma gave her. Skin the colour of ivory, lips the colour of blood, a black flowing cascade of hair. Leggy and trim like most of her kind.
“What’s the specialty tonight?” the vixen asks.
“I don’t know. I’ve never done this before,” responds Mick.
Sticking out her bottom lip and making sad eyes, “Poor puppy. You sound lost.”
“No…I’m pretty sure I’m in the right place,” Mick says with slight assurance.
Shimming her chest, she catches his attention. Twirling around like a firecracker, swaying her hips to capture the interest of anyone, let alone a man. Flowing with the sound of the music, you wouldn’t know she was an entertainer. In a commanding stance, she lifts her leg and gives her knee a sexy kiss. Then she places the leg behind Mick’s shoulder and starts to grind. Unhooking her bra with the finesse of a pro she continues. He reaches to grasp her fruitful breast.
The vixen quickly slaps his hand, and in a stern voice says, “NO touching.”
Mick is amazed with her rhythm and beauty. Just as the performance is coming to an end the vixen climbs a top the table; flirting with the pole, arousing her crowd of one. While doing the finishing move, her audience is captivated.
Flicking her flowing locks, “That’ll be $150.”
In awe Mick draws out $200. “There’s $150 plus a tip.” A jackass grin upon his face.
With a devilish smile the vixen hands him her sparkling bra, “And here’s your tip.”
As Mick leaves the secluded room, regret starts flowing through his veins. During the short drive home thoughts run through his head like a tap left on.
What have I done? What will I say?......How do I tell my wife?

Damn the Hills is so good!

Dear Reader,

As per usual I thought I would get a jump start on the blog post before the Hills is on and I am giving my re-cap for you. There was no Hills post last week because it was a catch up session and you guys are already caught up because I make sure that I tell you everything!

Creative writing school has been going really well and I am really enjoying it. I will tell you that I think this week’s story that I wrote is really HOT and I’m sure that you will love it. I was able to get the word count to under 400 just today so it has been tweaked to is best.

This weekend my student Kimmy had a show at PauseAwhile riding centre. She did really well. She got 4, 4, and 5 which was amazing considering she was showing against $50,000 horses, there were only two but that’s enough. The judge definitely had favourites for sure but I think she did really well. Avis as usual was amazing.

THE HILLS

So tonight was really interesting. The finger was actually pointed which I will get into a little later. There was a re-uniting of friends, whether it’s good or not is still to be decided. Friendships did get stronger and more honest though and that happened more than once. Let’s get to the important part, the re-cap!

Re-Cap
- Whitney asked LC about Vegas and was told that Brody and LC hooked up as well as there were issues with Audrina and J Bobby involving LC
- Jen texts LC to talk(LC really didn’t look to excited about this)
- LC tells Audrina about Jen asking to talk to her, Audrina finds it weird
- LC apologizes to Audrina re the J Bobby issues and she’s afraid that Audrina will leave and that’s not what she wants to happen at all
- Audrina is happy LC made that step and accepts the apology
- LC meets up with Lo and tells her that she apologized to Audrina re the J Bobby situation and Lo says that J Bobby is a loser
- LC tells Lo that she’s meeting with Jen, Lo doesn’t want Jen to hurt LC again so she advises LC to stay away, (she’s being protective)
- Brent has a meeting with Heidi, Heidi says that it was Elodie’s fault that the event wasn’t covered properly and blah blah blah
- Brent wasn’t happy the event wasn’t taken care of and he says to Heidi that she has to be 100% on her game because this shouldn’t have happened a first time and it’s not going to happen a second time
- LC meets Jen for lunch, and you can tell the tension because there isn’t much talking
- Jen asked how LC handled the rumour situation, LC said not well but was glad that Jen didn’t call because she wasn’t ready to talk to her
- Jen informs LC that she had lunch with Heidi and that according to Heidi, Brody is the cause of the rumours
- LC says she doesn’t believe it and that Heidi will blame anyone just to take the bad attention away from herself
- LC comes home and tells Audrina that she went to lunch with Jen and that she is not mad at Jen anymore
- LC and Audrina agree that Brody is not a troublemaker so they find it hard to believe that he would start nasty rumours about LC when he was friends with her the whole time
- Spencer is mad that Brent was pissed off at Heidi for the event screw up and says that you can’t depend on anyone anymore
- Audrina and J Bobby go out to play pool and have a relaxing eve
- Audrina tells J Bobby about the talk she and LC had and that LC apologized
- Audrina says maybe something will spark between LC and Brody
- LC meets Brody for dinner at a nice Chinese restaurant
- They both agree they had fun in Vegas and really enjoyed each others company
- Brody gets told by LC that Heidi is saying he spread the rumour about LC
- LC wants Brody to be honest and he tells her “I know for 100% fact they did it”
- LC and Whitney talk about dinner with Brody at work the next day
- LC says that Brody never says anything bad about anyone, a quality she really likes
- Whitney thinks that it was Spencer that started the rumour and LC agrees
- Jen and Heidi meets for lunch, Jen acts weird and then she tells Heidi that she went to lunch with LC
- Heidi says that it’s great to hear the Jen and LC are friends again, Heidi also responds and says that if her and LC can put what happened behind them they could try and be friends again
- Jen tells Heidi what Brody told LC
- Heidi gets upset that Jen is asking her to verify if this is true
- Heidi ends up leaving lunch asap
- Heidi goes home to Spencer and tells him about lunch with Jen
- Heidi tells him that the rumour is that Spencer is the one spreading all these rumours
- Spencer gets ticked and calls Brody a bitch and says he’s shady
- Heidi feels bad that everyone is blaming Spencer

So it was a big night for LC. She was finding out who her true friends are and also who her real enemies are. LC is lucky to have a friend like Lo because she’s always got her back and doesn’t want to see LC get hurt. They both realize that Jen is shady but I was surprised that LC forgave her, I would have thought that she would keep her distance still just because Jen is not trust worthy. She burned LC once before and I bet she would do it again. It was good that LC patched things up with Audrina because it shows that the friendship is important to her and that she did bugger things up by being judgemental of J Bobby. Brody proved to be trustworthy yet again. I wish they would just hook up, they know they mean a lot to each other and stuff…..get it on already. As far as Heidi is concerned, she deserved that tongue lashing by Brent. She deserved more trouble then that even because she really could have screwed up the event. The one thing I don’t like is that Jen is trying to play Heidi and LC again too and that’s another reason I think that LC will get burned by her. We all pretty much feel that if it wasn’t Heidi and Spencer that started the rumour is sure as hell was Spencer. He’s so conniving and when Heidi and LC were having their issues he just made it 100 times worse. If he just kept to himself and wasn’t such a loser sometimes it would have made it easier on everyone and Heidi and LC might still be friends. I wonder if Spencer thinks he will make a billion dollars before he’s 30 by spreading rumours?

Goodbye Newport Harbour

Goodbye Newport Harbour

Goodbye guys and gals of Newport
You all went through different times
Often making your watcher laugh and cry
You will be missed a lot
Saying goodbye to the drama pot
Samantha and Allie on their trip
Chase getting worked in the real estate office
Chrissy and Sasha off to different colleges
Clay, Taylor and Grant stay behind to finish their year
Relationships began and sort of parted
But for everyone a new beginning was started
I will miss my Thursday nights with the gang
The last episode did go out with a bang!
Goodbye Newport Harbour.

The Second Can't Always Be Better Than the First

This is my second piece of writing that I read tonight in my Creative Writing course. The task was to write about a person, a character within your life. Now in writer terms you are spoused to 'show don't tell'. The task was challenging and earned me a decent grade but before I read it I knew it was a little to much tell. I was at a point where I couldn't change what I has prepared, so I stuck to my guns. Enjoy!

Write About A Person

Her real name is Kimmy, but she responds to many other names; Duckie being her most favourite. At the youthful age of 19, she intends to make her dreams come true by riding to success. To her the world is harmless, and she is quite naïve; probably hasn’t been hurt by many yet to callous her warm heart. Eyes radiating with happiness, except when full concentration is necessary. Brown hair with strands of sunshine, tucked precisely under a helmet for protection. The classic style of her riding is becoming forgotten in the competitive horse world, which sets Kimmy apart from the rest. The other half of Kimmy is her trusty mount known as Avis.

An older horse, but competitive in all sense of the word, Avis is Kimmy’s partner. A large, beautiful black horse with a troubled past, is finally given the second chance he deserves. Avis with a heart of gold, carries his captain around with the utmost of confidence, listening solely to what she tells him, seldom questioning her commands. At shows his alter ego is Mystere, a show horse presented professionally, keen to jump to new heights. In the sport of horseback riding, “Actions speak louder then words,” is but a figment of the truth.

For both, this is a new beginning; with each other and in the sport. Avis had a few riders before but his chemistry with Kimmy is special. With each beat of his canter, their bond becomes stronger. They share a language known only to them. Arguments go on unspoken, and a grudge is never held. The pair equal an explosion of passion, promise and classic style. The bond formed between the two is unique to say the least. The norm for a bond to be formed is years, so they are moving at a stellar pace in the three months they have been together. Avis trusts Kimmy and has the belief that he can do anything. Kimmy is learning that trust must be reciprocated to make the partnership stronger.

One day Kimmy could be an Olympian. For now she is working on getting her career started, and I am lucky and proud to say that I am her coach.

Return of KOJAK THE LUMBER JACK (just slightly different!)

Part 1 - The initial cut and the first TIMBERRRR!!!!!!
Part 2 - Ferrying the loads of limbs to the trailer
Part 3 - Carrying the last reminants of the tree to be put in the truck. A job well done!

Dear Reader,

From previous posts you can tell that I am a jack of all trades. I bake, cross stitch, knit, tend to my blog (THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THEM ALL!) and do a variety of other things. Well I seem to have inherited that trait from my dad. His full time job is being a veterinarian, and of course with the funny farm and the addition of the cows he can call himself a farmer too. He also dabbles in woodworking, mild mechanics and a variety of other things when there is something that needs fixing. Well today was interesting because my dad brought me along on a journey that took him to his co-worker Betty’s house to cut down a tree that had died this year in her yard. Now this is no task for the average joe, you have to be well skilled in the using of a chain saw and then be tidy because you are doing a job for someone. Here’s where the funny part comes in, before I was born my dad had a shaved head (right to the skin) and a handle bar mustache, and his nickname was KOJAK THE LUMBER JACK. It’s funny how today he had reverted back to his roots and entered the wood cutting skill of Kojack once again. While dad was slicing and dicing the dead tree I went around Betty’s backyard and took snapshots of things that I thought were interesting or I just really liked. Then it came to be work time for me. Dad had chopped a fair bit of the tree down, actually all the limbs, so we started the easy task of ferrying them to the trailer and coming back with an empty wheelbarrow ready to take another load.. Once that part was done dad had to do the final job of actually making it look like the tree didn’t exist, the final cut that truly opened up the back yard. With one swift stroke with the chainsaw it was as if the tree had never been rooted there before. Betty was happy that we were able to do her a favour as well as visit with us. She was so thankful that she showered us with gifts before we left. So that goes to show you dear reader that not all good deeds go unnoticed.

COWS

My dear calflings are doing excellent. They have large round bellies that never go empty for even the slightest second. They have whiskers like an old man and they are only 3 months for Ben and Sparty and 2 months for Newt. Today was interesting though, and I will tell you why. I took the feed out tonight and was able to get it all ready before the HERD came rushing over to get their din din. It was great because I was able to get a picture of the rush and the dash over, everyone mooing with excitement that they were getting fed. The cows and calves are a great pleasure of mine and I have really enjoyed watching them grow. Even when you can see the slightest bit of weight gain on them, you feel a true sense of accomplishment. I am going to leave you with some pictures of the darlings because I haven’t in a while. Enjoy, hopefully as much as I do!

Ben, Newt, and Sparty enjoying their dinner.

What do you do when.....

What do you do when your world is just in a tumultous spinning frenzy?
What do you do when you feel that everything has truly gone to shit?
What do you do when you feel like you haven’t got a hope in the world?
What do you do when everything surrounds you is frightening?
What do you do when anxiety is all your life is full of?
What do you do when you feel you have no one to go to?

These feelings are all so horrific but life is horrific sometimes. Various people abandon you for certain feelings and emotions, maybe even for things that are out of your control. The breed of people that stick by you through thick and thin is dying as I write these words. Few people can be trusted and even when ‘tested’ then still can’t hold up to the challenge. When your brain doesn’t get a peaceful moment for a longtime, what else can you expect but anxious spinning feelings. When you are afraid of everything except 2 places, you’re forced into hermit status. That’s ok I have a lot of books and movies to keep me semi entertained but that only lasts so long. How many times are you to hear the same phrase over and over or read the same line again and again. The feeling that maybe intimacy is not possible for you because you have ‘bigger EMOTIONAL fish to fry’. What if you crave intimacy but are not in a place to deal with the emotions that will come, where do you go from there…. I am at a loss. Most things puzzle me right now. I wander around in a hopeless daze. I have learned to build up my façade so most people think I am functioning at a really good level. Reality… I don’t know if you want to know reality… it’s a lot to bear, even for myself. The few I trust and have told my emotions to are bound by confidentiality to keep it between me and them. Quite sad when confidentiality is the only factor that makes a trustful relationship. I have read the poem Invictus by William Ernest Henley (which means unconquerable) many times, and I keep coming to the same jump off point… I am being conquered by my emotions. How do I get away from this place and conquer those emotions so that I can live up to my potential? The answer is lost in the great unknown to me, when I will find it is unsure. Maybe one day myself and it will cross paths and I will be taught a new language or code to deal with such hell. Answer, please come to me….I could use your help.

My First Assigment as a WRITER!!!

Dear Reader,

Yesterday my writing was triumphant in my night course. I was able to get up infront of the class and read my heart and soul out. Sure at times tears were brought to my eyes and my heart was worn on my sleeve. There really was no other options for me last night though. So with you I share my first writing assignment, which earned an A:

Why Do I Write
The feeling of the keys clicking underneath my fingertips is a place I call home. Waiting with glee for the printer to finish putting the last touches of ink on the product. The warmth of the sheets as they come shooting out of the photocopier. Sometimes writing just comes, flowing out of my brain directly to my fingers without a second thought. The smooth casing of the pencil gliding through my hand as I etch a code known only to me. The scratching of the lead on the paper, making a reality of such thoughts.
Never really have been asked why I write, and the answer is multifarious. In this place, I can write whatever I want and not be judged. I can encourage, inform, motivate, and ponder when my fingers start keyboarding. Captivating people and predicting their response for a sense of accomplishment. Telling my stories for the few that want to hear them. Percolating ideas, not just my own but arousing other peoples ideas. Saying goodbye to something that was very dear to me and has passed on to the greener pastures up in the heavens. To release emotion and not have it weigh deep within the depths of my stomach. Repeating those angry words, which you could not release for fear of how hurt the other person might feel or the thought of how painful the outcome could be. Creating humour, allowing people to express laughter, the most healing emotion of them all. The opportunity to be calm and rid the tempestuous anxiety for a few minutes. Becoming at one with the environment and self, knowing that everything is going to be ok even when it’s not.
Writing is not just a passion or job but a tool of many kinds. It can carve, chisel, burn, hammer and so many other actions. Without writing life would be a blank canvas without any paint splashed upon it. Without any colour or pictures to create emotion in its audience. With no place to put my ideas, whether it be on display or even a private show, emotions would be left inside, boiling like an angry pot of water that never gets taken off the stove. Writing is my sanctuary.

It's A Celebration!!! (In more ways then one!)

Dear Reader,

Well I have been busy for quite some time now and am finally getting a jump start on my blog post for tonight.

YESTERDAY

Yesterday I took my riding student Kimmy to a horseshow at Pickering Horse Centre. We did the 3 foot Training Jumper Division as it was appropriately named. Kimmy rode well and Avis went well except for lazy legs which kept giving Kimmy one rail per round. The wait was yet again ridiculous just as at Foxhunter, but I like Pickering better. The show was very competitive and gave Kimmy a taste of what it would be like to show against people she would be showing with at the Trillium level. I tried to smarten Avis up by making him jump higher and hopefully hit a few rails in the warm up ring but he thwarted my efforts and was jumping 4 feet clean and solid. Silly little jerk he is sometimes. Kimmy came away with a 7th place, which some may say is not that great but she really enjoyed herself and had FUN. The most important part of the game. Congrats Kimmy and Avis…..back to hunter to prepare for some other schooling shows!

SEPTEMBER 24, 2007

I was at school, at Seneca College, and asked to write this piece of writing which I plan to share with you. We were told to use our senses and make the picture very vivid for the reader. I hope you enjoy my little ditty.

A Stroll in the Park
I walk in solitude, in an extraordinary area known as, The Park. A bubbling brook tries to have a discussion with objects surrounding it. Maybe that brook is asking a question or two relating to time and destiny. The sky as blue as a sapphire that has been pulled out of hiding. Wind blowing softly, while a warm sun kisses your cheeks. Across the park you recognize a dog barking gleefully as it plays with its owner. Walking amongst the fall colours, while crisp leaves crunch beneath your feet. The boundary around the park is a mountainous range of houses. The constant him of a busy town is always present. Even though the area is surrounded and you know the town is not far, the lush green grass, fresh with flowing chlorophyll, takes you back to a place where you are calm and at one with yourself.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2007

This was the night I started my creative writing night course. I was nervous at first because I didn’t really know what I was going to be getting. When I got there the room was packed with unfamiliar faces and it appeared that I was the youngest one there. We were given our first writing assignment which I will post on here after tomorrow night because I will know how it stood up against the class. It’s a solid piece and it’s really flowing which I like. It has a personal touch to it which is always nice. I think this class will be a great teaching method and I will learn a lot. Look for works to come as well, like I said we get a writing assignment every week and there are 9 weeks worth of assignments. Only one is out of the way!

THE HILLS

Tonight was the night where Heidi finally got what she deserves for screwing Elodie out of a position that she deserved. It plays out more perfect then the HILLS fan would predict. There are starting to be little holes that are growing in Spencer and Heidi’s relationship. It’s nice because I’m not as big a Spencer fan anymore. This episode is really about fun and friends taking a stand. Here it comes the infamous recap:

ReCap
- Audrina, LC, and Lo are going to Vegas for Brody’s bday
- J-Bobby is flying there with the girls
- LC says the girls appearing in Vegas for Brody is his gift
- Heidi and Spencer’s one year anniversary is coming up
- Heidi wants Spencer to tell his parents about the wedding before not after
- Spencer has planned a spa day for both himself and Heidi for the anni gift
- When the girls arrive at the airport J-Bobby only says hi to Audrina not the other girls
- J-Bobby is bringing his guitar and when asked if he will serenade the girls by Lo he ignores her
- Brody and the boys are at his suite at the Palms hotel in Vegas
- When Brody opens the door LC jumps into his arms for a big hug, and then greets Frankie with a hug
- The group starts to toast Brody for his bday and J-Bobby chooses not to participate
- Elodie doesn’t like the Heidi situation at work so she gave her notice
- Elodie thinks it will be easier to go elsewhere to move up b/c Brent didn’t give her the opportunity
- Brent asks Heidi if she is ready for the Emmy’s and Heidi tells him it’s her and Spencer’s anni so she wants to spend it with him but she will have everything ready ahead of time
- Heidi talks to Elodie to get her to cover the Emmy’s for her
- Elodie plays it cool and says yes even though she knows she won’t be working
- LC and Lo talk about J-Bobby being weird and they make a bet on who will be the first to get him to smile
- At the club Brody proclaims he has the most beautiful date, which is LC
- Brody and LC talk about Heidi and Spencer not being there to celebrate his birthday
- Audrina and J-Bobby appear at the club
- LC gives Brody a birthday kiss
- Frankie wants Brody and LC to hook up, he believes that Heidi caused the issues when Brody and LC tried to hook up
- It’s agreed that Spencer and Heidi cause drama, and the group doesn’t want drama
- Lo does a “Britney” and flashes her crotch
- Frankie advises Brody to get with LC
- The girls are living it up poolside the next day at the Palms
- Lo is bothered that J-Bobby won’t be nice
- Lo makes the comment that since Jason is taken LC should hook up with Brody
- Girls are hoping that Audrina is ok because they haven’t heard from her since they saw her the night before at the bar
- The group goes to Pure NightClub in Vegas to celebrate
- LC gives Brody a mega birthday kiss!!!!
- Brody and LC are making goo goo eyes at each other all night
- Heidi and Spencer are just arriving at Don Antonios for their anni dinner
- Heidi thinks it’s so nice of Spencer all the things he has done to celebrate their anni
- The girls ask Audrina where J-Bobby is and take note that he has disappeared
- The girls are chit chatting on the rotating bed in Brody’s suite
- Audrina gets upset and yells “I know you guys don’t like Justin, I get it ok!”
- Audrina leaves in a huff and LC goes out to sit by the pool to cool off
- During dinner Heidi gets a phone call and finds out that Elodie has quit and that she has to leave her anni dinner to save her own butt
- Spencer gets pissed and says that Heidi doesn’t love him
- Heidi says that they have to leave and she has to go to work
- Brody is sitting out by the pool with LC and trying to clarify the LC, J-Bobby and Lo situation
- LC gets a little huffy but Brody just brushes it off and cuddles her up
- Brody says that he likes J-Bobby and that J-Bobby has the problem with Lo, not LC
- Brody states that he likes LC
- Brody suggests that him and LC take a nap outside by the pool, and they end up cuddling close in each others arms

Now if that was not a good episode then Reader I don’t know what you think a good episode is. I really like the Brody and LC combo and really want them to hook up for real this time. The look on Brody’s face when LC and the girls surprised him was great and he was really happy to see LC there. Frankie is totally right in saying that Heidi buggered up their first chance. Heidi is burning all her bridges and it looks good on her. Like her mother asked her, “When Spencer leaves, what are you going to have left in the way of friendships?” Elodie was supposed to be Heidi’s big buddy at work and she screwed her over. Heidi used to be BFF’s with LC and she buggered that up so bad that she can’t even communicate with the associates, ie. Whitney, Audrina and Lo. Spencer was really bratty when she said that she had to go to work too. Heidi mentioned that he was the one all for her getting the promotion and then when she has to stand up and do her job he gets bitchy…HELLO, what’s with that? The J-Bobby scenario is tricky because I don’t really like how he treats Audrina, some of his points are right but he is making it hard for her, and Lo should back off a little bit. Audrina is starting to get upset about them ragging on about J-Bobby too, hopefully this doesn’t ruin the friendship she has with LC. LC couldn’t take that trauma again I don’t think. The previews looked great too!! Go TEAM LC AND BRODY!!! MACK IT UP!!!!!

Mirror Mirror on the wall, Spencer Pratt's the biggest CREEP of them all!!!!

Dear Reader,

So it’s my second week of school and it’s already been filled with the exciting topic of demography and our voting rights, that are new if you haven’t noticed. Tomorrow I will be starting my creative writing course which I think will be really great. I still really don’t like being mixed with the newbies at school but hey my say doesn’t count for much! Things have changed a little bit on my student Kimmy’s show scene with her mount Avis. We have had to cut down our show schedule a tremendous bit but hey at least we are getting out there and showing. Experience is experience, all she can do is learn more! Today was also my best friend Dave’s 26th birthday. He didn’t have any skanky girls at his apartment while the wife was at work to celebrate his getting wiser but hey….. he’s gettin’ old. Nah I don’t really think he’s old because in the scheme of things he’s just a baby but I have to razz him just cause I am his best friend!

THE HILLS

So the Hills pulled out some definite shockers tonight. One was quite predictable but the others were not predictable at all. I’ll give you the re-cap so that you are up to speed.

Re-CAP
- Jason wanted LC to meet Katja his girlfriend who he is moving in with
- LC is sort of surprised and finds it weird that his relationship is moving so fast
- White is doing her first photo shoot of a band and she is in charge; she is allowed to take LC with her
- Jen and Heidi go wedding dress shopping so Heidi can show Jen the dress she has decided on
- Heidi says she pictures Spencer as her soulmate forever
- Heidi is very excited about the wedding and all the planning to go with it
- Whitney and LC go to meet the band and they immediately start hitting on LC and Whitney
- Whit invites the band to meet them at the bar THE DIME so that they can get to know them better, Audrina and LC accompany her
- the girls do shots with the band and a variety of shot names come up, ie. Buttery nipple, and red headed slut
- Whit keeps telling the band that they have to be good so that they can work the next morning
- Audrina and LC talk about meeting Katja and LC really is not comfortable with the idea at all, she is basically doing it because Jason asked her to
- The next day the band shows up late for the photo shoot
- The band leader refuses to wear what Whit has assigned and Whit predicts that Lisa Love will say “You have no future”
- Spencer and Heidi register at a store for China, dishes, glasses, etc
- Spencer is not into the registering for gifts idea and ruins Heidi’s experience, they plan to go another day
- Audrina and LC meet Katja at Jason’s get together and right from the start it’s weird
- Jason and Katja make out the whole time
- A friend at the get together announces that Jason and Katja are engaged
- LC wants to flat out leave the get together
- Jason and LC meet out on the porch for a chit chat and Jason says to LC that he knows she doesn’t like Katja
- LC thinks tells Jason that she thinks he is being stupid by getting married at the age of 20
- Katja interrupts their talk
- LC is totally re-thinking even initially going to the get together right from the start
- Lisa Love gives Whit a lecture and says that going out with the band the night before was beyond her job and that she has to step it up and be the boss
- Spencer and Heidi go to breakfast
- Spencer wants to go to Tibet and elope for the wedding
- Spencer hasn’t even told his parents about getting married
- Heidi doesn’t understand why he hasn’t told his parents, and starts thinking maybe he is embarrassed, she gets really pissed off
- Whit tells LC that she got in trouble from Lisa Love
- Whit is shocked when LC tells her that Jason has a fiancée and is moving in with her when in the rehab program he’s not even supposed to have a girlfriend
- Whit tells LC to distance herself from Jason and let him crash and burn on his own and then she won’t have to pick up the pieces
- LC says “I thought for a moment at the party that it could have been Jason and I, but I’m glad it’s not me”

So for drama folks an entire new can of worms has been opened. Let’s start with the Jason and Katja thing. I do think that LC is right in deciding that he is making a mistake and moving too fast, he’s only known her 6 months and a few days. Why is he rushing? He states that when he feels something is right he runs with it but how would he know whether it’s truly right or not when his world just got flipped upside down and is coming out of rehab. I think secretly LC was thinking that she and Jason would get back together and personally I thought it was going to happen too. They were hanging out a lot and LC said she would do lots of sober activities with him, so what more could he want. Maybe Jason found Katja in rehab and thinks they can work through their issues together…sorry bud it doesn’t always work that way. I felt bad for Whitney because she really didn’t know the appropriate way to get the band to gel with her and be cool with her. She did what a person her age would want and went to the bar…..getting plastered wasn’t in the plan but that’s what happened. Unfortunately it bit her in the ass and she had to hear about it from Lisa Love….it’s all about representing the company. I think the whole Spencer not telling his parents re the wedding is going to cause an entire shit storm with Heidi. Heidi expects wedding day to be a princesses dream and everything to be perfect, Spencer’s parents being there might be part of that idea. Heidi I don’t think realizes what is going on in spencer’s brain and she’s not going to be prepared for what he is going to throw at her. Surprises, Surprises and Heidi you I think are in for a big one!!!This is in memory of LC and Jason's relationship and how LC felt!! We're here for you Lauren in spirit!!!!!!

ANTM...Cycle 9 Started Tonight!!!!!

Dear Reader,

I have some good news straight from the idiot box…tv for us regular people. America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 9 began tonight. For me this is a big deal because I love the fashion world and I like all the testing the girls have to go through to get to be at the top of the competition. This cycle the beginning was different, all the girls met in LA and then they were put on board a cruise ship for their narrowing down to the first 13. The cruise ship was making it’s way down to the Caribbean. In Antigua, only 20 girls were allowed back on the boat to continue to make it to the 13. In Antigua they were able to meet Jaslene, cycle 8’s winner and do a mini photo shoot which consisted of 5 shots done in the ocean and on the beach. For some girls this was make it or break it time. Some girls did really well and they strived to pose the best on the beachfront. Before Tyra and the Jays got to decide who the final 13 would be, the girls had a chance to say to Tyra in one sentence why they should be ANTM’s next beauty. Some people chose to go for the I’m hot and I can win, while others went for the sentimental and emotional position. The second position won a few of the girls a spot in the house, which they will be moving into next week. I have my eye on one particular girl and her name is Lisa. She is a beauty like none of the other girls, she has had it rough but she can be fierce as well. That’s who my bets are on, but you never know if she gets booted I will end up picking someone else. Can’t wait till makeover time though, some of the girls are in dire need, and it’s a guarantee there will be tears and fits with this group!

Everyone Is A Champ At The End Of The Day

Dear Reader,

So it has been a while since my last post but I was in Kingston so I hope you were able to keep up your reading and go to the link I posted. I had an amazing time. My friend and her little fam are the perfect vision of what family means. She is madly in love with her hubby and vice versa. It was so nice to see that because I thought the times when man and wife loved each other were dead. There’s nothing like a wonderful mini-break to open your eyes and realize certain parts of love are not dead. I fell in love with the baby and the dog though. I would have taken one of them home but I was forewarned not to do such an act, or the bounty hunters would be out for me. We relaxed and had a really good time……AWESOME TIME IN FACT!

SUNDERLAND FAIR
Sept 12, 2007

So my student Kimmy and her mount Avis went to their first show of the month. It was a hunter show, and we all readily admit that Avis is not a hunter horse, but he truly pulled out all the stops for Kimmy. They worked together like I had never seen them before. They had become one, and they have only been together for just over 2 months. A working team like that usually takes more time then that to build. Kimmy ended up 1, 2, 1,2, 3, 1, with winnings like that we were hoping for a nice finish. And too our surprise we got Champion of the division and Kimmy ended up winning a cooler (blanket) for Avis and a trophy which she got to take home. We were both really impressed for their first show. Avis was a prince and Kimmy was a champion, what a perfect combination.

FOXHUNTER SCHOOLING SHOW
Sept 16, 2007

It was Sunday and we were able to get Avis ready before it was time to leave for the show. Now I will admit that I have always gotten ready for a show the day before but we had lots of time to get ready before driving to the show. It was really nice to do it that way though, it was a good way to manage anxiety and nerves because you just keep going with busy-ness. We arrived at the show shortly after 12 and then we waited till around 1 to start tacking up and get ready for go time. We were ready around 1:30 because the class was to start around 2, but sadly we were mislead. We didn’t realize till we had already been standing around for 2 ½ hours. We didn’t actually start showing till around 4:30, it was completely ridiculous. Kimmy and Avis did well but they weren’t as on their game as they were at Sunderland. I can’t blame them though there was too much waiting around and drama with other girls at the show. They ended up coming home with a 2, 4, 4, which isn’t too bad. I will say though anyone that is considering showing at Foxhunter….don’t do it, it’s a big mistake and waste of time, money, and effort.

Now to the most important part of the post:

THE HILLS

So the drama was running full force on the Hills tonight. Relationships are being made and moving forward. While certain people are being complete dinks. We can all guess who is being a dink and who isn’t, it’s made very obvious on the show. One thing I will state for the record is that I really like Whitney as Lauren’s boss and she is doing such a good job. Whitney would be awesome to work for I think.

RECAP

- Heidi is off to work when Spencer asks how Elodie is taking Heidi’s promotion. Heidi says that it is strictly business and there is no grudge and everything is swell.
- Teen Vogue staff has a meeting and starts discussing the plans for the Young Hollywood Party. The party is showcasing the work of designer Mark Jacobs, so the Teen Vogue people have upped their guest list quota by 700 people. It’s going to be a big deal
- Audrina comes back from a weekend getaway with J-Bobby, she says they had a really good time. Lauren asks if they are a couple now since they are going on weekend breaks and Audrina says that yes they are finally a couple. Lauren is happy for her and Audrina’s happy about the commitment.
- While at work, Heidi tells the receptionist Lacey, that only calls from Spencer, Brent and Jen are to be patched through immediately. Anything else is to be taken as a message and Heidi will get back to the person. Elodie hears this going on and just rolls her eyes thinking that Heidi is being ridiculous.
- Whitney and Lauren are canvassing possible areas to have the Young Hollywood Party, Lauren tells Whitney that she had coffee with Jason the other day. Whitney is kind of surprised but asks if Jason has changed and Lauren says she can definitely tell he has.
- When Whitney and Lauren are at work the next day, Lauren receives a call from Jason asking her to dinner at a new hot spot called Ketchup.
- While at work Heidi receives a phone call from Spencer saying they are going to Ketchup that night as well.
- Lauren and Jason are at the restaurant having a good time and talking when Heidi and Spencer come prancing in. Spencer makes a big deal and says, “I’m really glad to see you guys are back together again.” This makes Lauren mad and uncomfortable.
- Heidi and Spencer decide they are going to send drinks to Lauren and Jason but Lauren denies the drinks because she doesn’t want anything to do with the evil pair.
- Heidi and Spencer continue to be complete dicks, even yelling goodbye across the restaurant as Lauren and Jason leave.
- On the car ride back to Lauren’s condo, Jason and Lauren discuss about what dicks Heidi and Spencer are and how much they deserve each other. Jason thought Spencer’s comment was really uncalled for since he didn’t even know him and Lauren when they were dating.
- Jason drops Lauren off and there is a bit of an uncomfortable moment.
- The next day at work Heidi makes a point to stop and talk to Elodie. She tells her about the encounter with Jason and Lauren and how they were ‘rude’ because they wouldn’t even accept the drinks they sent over. Elodie makes a point of saying, “What is going on with you Heidi? What did you do for Lauren to dislike you so much? You used to be friends with Audrina and Whitney too and you aren’t anymore. I just don’t think you even know what is right anymore.” Heidi is shocked that Elodie is saying this and ends up making an unhappy face.
- Jason and Lauren meet for a coffee again.
- Heidi and Spencer go to Don Antonio’s for dinner. Heidi tells Spencer that she is really tired and upset of people not being very accepting about her promotion, specifically Elodie. Spencer just does a whatever gesture and that’s it.

So I think a lot happened in this episode. A lot in the way of Jason and Lauren. It almost feels as if they are going to hook back up. It might be nice for Lauren to hook up with Jason since in the last episode she mentioned what a connection they had. They have a lot more in common now too since Lauren dislikes Heidi now. Jason says that he never liked her and warned Lauren a long time ago, which is interesting because he was totally right about her. Sure Jason was bad but he was terrible when he was drinking and since he’s in rehab he doesn’t do that anymore. I would like to see something happen between Lauren and Jason again, but I’m not sure whether that will be happening. Heidi has turned into an uber bitch. As each episode goes by I hate her more and more. What Elodie said was right on the mark because Heidi really has changed since Spencer came into her world. For a guy to have that much changing power over you cannot be a good thing. I would like to see something happen with Whitney just because her story line is a bit boring. She needs some excitement in her life too. So as I said it was one interesting show tonight, can’t say enough really, but I’m tired so I have to end it!

Sadness, Excitement and Drama All Rolled into One!

Dear Reader,

I have some sad news. This week we will be putting down the old pony we have on the property that was abandoned and we resumed ownership of. Her name is Promi, short for Promises. She currently goes out with another horse of mine but we have integrated our little white devil Casper with that horse so that he doesn’t go bananas when Promi doesn’t come back. Over the years Promi has had her ups and downs, she’s been quite sick a few times, actually to the point of the drs saying there was no hope. Not Promi though, she came back with fighting style and got better every time. My dad and I believe that Promi is probably about 47 or 48 years old which is amazing for a pony/horse. In her hay day Promi was an excellent show pony and was very peppy and a crowd pleaser to say the least. Promi will be being put down when I am away in Kingston visiting my friend. I know that Promi knows she is loved by the family(my family) taking care of her and she will never be forgotten. She has lost a fair amount of weight and has fallen down several times, marking her sensitive skin with cuts and bruises. To make her go through the winter would be like making her suffer. We have chosen to put her down so that she is at least happy before she goes. She was here when the grass was a bright green in the spring and she has been outside enjoying the pleasant weather. Promi you will always be in our hearts.

Tomorrow is the day before the horse show in Sunderland that my student Kimmy will be going to with our horse Avis. We have worked really hard and even if we don’t get a ribbon I feel confident saying that we are ready for this show. Kimmy has been working with Avis for the last 2 months and they have quickly developed a strong bond, common between that of a horse and rider team that have been working together for years. Tomorrow is going to be a really busy day to say the least, when tomorrow is over I will be glad. Wednesday is show day and then after that I am heading to my friend Meg’s in Kingston to play 5th wheel in her little family. Good luck Kimmy and Avis, you’ve worked really hard and earned it!

THE HILLS

Well the Hills was sure interesting tonight folks. Things happened that were not expected. There was backstabbing and reuniting which were both surprises. The characters that involved those actions were interesting. Spencer really isn’t in the show much so you don’t get to see him trying to grow his fair haired mustache which looks kind of odd. Another player that was missing was Brody…where were you this episode mister?

Re Cap
- Elodie, Heidi’s co-worker, tells Heidi that she wants to go for this new position opening up at Bolthouse. Heidi asks Elodie if she was hired just before she was and Elodie says yeah like a year before.
- Lauren gets and assignment from Whitney, this is the first time we see Whitney take some boss action
- Lauren tells Whitney that she got a call from Jason, this makes her feel weird
- Heidi goes home after work and tells Spencer that there is the new position opening up at Bolthouse, Spencer says that she deserves it most out of everyone.
- Lauren and Audrina have Lo over for dinner and Audrina fills them in on the fact that J-Bobby is phoning her non stop but she is not answering the phone. Then strangely enough Jason calls Lauren. Lauren admits she has only been in love once in her life….ahem Jason.
- Heidi the next day goes into work to and meet with Brent her boss and tells her that she thinks she qualifies for the new position and that she would really like to be considered.
- Audrina and Lauren go the gym and have an intense workout with their trainer Jarrett, who convinces them to meet him and his friend Derek out for drinks and they decide on the bar Lola.
- While on the date, all Derek can talk about is how he buys vintage shirts at a thrift shop for 40 cents and then he’s thinking he may be able to sell them for $70 one day. They head to Les Deux and Derek starts telling Lauren that she is the best girl he’s ever met and that he’s falling in love with her. While in the bathroom Lauren says to Audrina, “I’ve never been on a date with someone and wanted to stab myself in the eye with a fork so bad!”
- Lauren and Audrina are sun tanning the day after and they start talking about things and how the bad guys want back in their lives just at the wrong time. Audrina mentions that she finally picked up the phone and spoke with J-Bobby and he apologized which he has never done before in their history.
- Heidi goes to work few days later and walks into her brand new office…apparently she got the job. Elodie greets her at the door and says congrats on the new position. She just hopes that Heidi appreciates it as much as she would have.
- Audrina goes to the beach with J-Bobby and they seem to have a good aft and then it’s finished off with a bike ride home.
- Lauren goes to a quaint little coffee bar and meets up with Jason, who is still in rehab. They talk about the past and how hard it was to get going after the break up. Jason found it a lot harder then he thought it would be and realized that he did a lot of things wrong. Lauren is trying to be friendly and supportive with Jason but you can tell in her expressions that she’s uncomfortable and doesn’t know what to do. Jason looks like he regrets losing Lauren too.

So after the re-cap I must start off with Heidi. She really has turned into a yucky person since being associated with Spencer and the ring is just ugly to look at. I’m pretty much thinking it’s fake because it never twinkles and it has this black spot in the middle. I can’t believe Heidi backstabbed Elodie after Elodie told her she wanted that position and such. You could almost tell that Heidi was thinking about the position after Elodie started talking about it. I don’t think things will be as kosher in that co-worker friendship as it used to be, I think Elodie will resent Heidi and in a way she should. You could tell as she was walking away after congratulating Heidi. Moving on to Audrina. This girl needs to decide what she wants from J-Bobby and just say, “if you can’t give me what I need then go away”. This guy is yanking her chain almost as if she is a bath tub constantly filling up with water and you yank the chain to get the stopper out. Think of all the emotional turmoil J-Bobby has caused, not just in the last four months but in the previous 2 years…don’t think he’s a keeper. Now Lauren and Jason. We knew this meeting was going to happen eventually because they broadcasted the commercial for it way too early. Jason has been in jail, and now is in rehab, aren’t you fragile when you’re in there, so aren’t you supposed to avoid stressful situations. Sobering up is supposed to be stressful enough. I don’t think he should throw himself back in Lauren’s life, and if he does Lauren can’t handle it either. She has so many mixed emotions about Jason still, she wouldn’t have a sound mind going into a relationship with him fo sho. I think everyone needs to focus on who their TRUE friends are, be the kind of people that they would like to be treated like, and live their lives….their only in their early 20’s….Geez!

PS – I apologize for not posting after the Hills but blogger was down and I couldn’t so today will have to do!

My Car Feels A Lot Happier...Newport Harbor=Maybe!!!

The Cast-

From this pic you can clearly tell that Chrissy is the one with her back against Clay, grinning like a JACK ASS! Chase, the one she 'cheated' with is standing in the background...his body's not too bad either!

Dear Reader,

It’s me again! So after going to the gym and flogging my guts out I decided that I would punish myself some more and clean out my car. I usually clean my car 2 times per year, but that’s a full out cleaning, (wash the floor mats, vacuum everything, pledge and dust, and clean the windows). Today though I thought I would be extra nice, I got out the comment and decided to attack my rims with full force. They had a lot of brown dirt and caked on crap that just was really ugly looking. I don’t chrome rims, wish I did, but these ones are good enough, at least they are star shaped. So the comet worked really well but I think that I will get some really intensive rim cleaner or maybe just use a bleach product to really attack the little bits that are left. I think my car is a happier car now and the rims look a lot better. I spent almost an hour really cleaning the rims. I still have to take my car to give it a bath but I will probably do that tomorrow.

So my main reason for writing was not because of the spectacular cleaning of my car, although I sure Reader, even you would be proud of the indoor cleaning it got. Anywho, I want to talk a little bit about the new show on MTV called Newport Harbour. I am really undecided about this show. It’s like the Hills, and Laguna Beach and stuff, but the age range of the cast is 17-19, 20 at the max. I don’t think that most of the cast can actually go out and get a liquor drink because in the USA the limit is 21. They drink at parties held at each others homes though like most young people. The main girl is Chrissy, first of all I hate that name, could she have a worse name. Second I really don’t like that her perfect teeth are always hanging out of her mouth, it’s almost as if her parents paid for her to have perfect BUCK TEETH. Wow that really means something, the parents are really saying I LOVE YOU DEAR! The guys are absolutely gorgeous, I’m not going to lie, they are young for me but hey when you have candy like that on your arm and they’re faithful….you got a good deal. Chrissy’s love interest is Clay, but Chrissy was bad recently and had a movie fling night with the male slut of the show, he’s cute though so she gets a couple points. Although Clay is SEXY, I’d tap that with anything I possibly could find, a stick, a whip, a marker even, he’s a huge HUNK. Yep I’m even pulling out the oldschool language, this guy is sweet. He’s kinda pissed at Chrissy for that but he has every right to be, he’s also frustrated with the Chrissy situation because her dad calls her every 2 seconds and totally gets to ruin his mack time. Daddy’s smart! Anywho, the drama is kinda good but not Hills good because it’s such a young crowd. For some reason though I always make sure that I am able to watch the show, that must mean I like it right?
What a nice way to end a blog post by gawking a a beautiful piece of man meat!!!! This is Clay by the way, I just didn't want to introduce you lady readers to formally...he's all mine!

Lindsay Lohan Steals the Show in GEORGIA RULE

Dear Reader,

First I will let you know that I had purchased the first season of the Hills and plan on purchasing the second season. I may not do a re cap like I do for the weekly show but I may let you in on what happened in season one. I am so excited to watch this but my excitement must be contained til I go away on a mini-break to my dear friend Meg’s house. I have got her and her hubby pumped to watch this drama filled fun fest. It’s going to be perfect.

Now, onto the real purpose of writing……

Movie Review – Georgia Rule

This movie is directed by Gary Marshall, who also directed Pretty Woman and the Princess Diaries (both really good movies). I was therefore expecting a movie of that par. This movie went above and beyond par. Jane Fonda played the best movie role she ever in the history of movies I have seen her in, has ever played. She’s the nurturing, yet faith believing, rule-making Georgia who will not tolerate crappy behaviour whatsoever. I can’t say the whole faith thing won me over at the beginning but at the end I was a big fan of Georgia. Felicity Huffman plays drunken mother Lily, who is married to a pervert of a husband which she doesn’t find out til later. Her character is so involved in booze that it is constantly clouding her judgment, a parent like her would be tough to live with. Carrying her up the stairs and taking care of her while in her drunken hazes. The best out of everyone is Lindsay Lohan, who plays Rachel and lost teen that has done too much in her teen years, by that I mean drugs, drinking and eventually she was sexually abused. You don’t really feel for her character at the beginning because she is TROUBLE right from the start and you guess that she is going to be turning this little town in Iowa upside down. As she starts to develop and learn from her famous grandma Georgia, she becomes a loving and caring person with skewed views because of her past. The ending was great and I’m not going to tell you what it is. Excellent supporting roles by Garrett Hedlund (who was Jack in Four Brothers), and Dermot Mulroney (was Julia Roberts love interest in my Best Friend’s Wedding). The story far beats Pretty Woman or the Princess Diaries but its’ due to the character development. The only thing I wish was that they showed at the end a fast forward into the future and how things turned out. Unbelievable performance Lindsay Lohan, even award winning I would say!

Brody + Lauren = Possibilty!!!!!

So dear reader, today was the be all and end of friendships. Tonight was a turning point in friendships, some for the best some for the worse. First I would like to cover what the definition of friendship actually means. As dictionary.com states, the first version of friendship means: “1. the state of being a friend; association as friends: to value a person’s friendship. 2. a friendly relation or intimacy. 3. friendly feeling or disposition. I will now proceed to do the usual recap so that you get exactly what I am talking about.

- Heidi is at a work meeting at Bolthouse when her boss asks her if Brody and Lauren are together again because they have been seen mingling with each other
- Heidi goes home from work to Spencer, sporting a moustache (it looked really gross), and tells him that Lauren and Brody are hanging out with each other, Spencer gets really ticked with this information
- Audrina has a meeting with a co-worker at Epic and tries to discuss the situation (if there is one) with J-Bobby, she really would like to be b/f and g/f but she’s not sure
- Lauren and Lo are getting ready to go out to the bar and ask Audrina’s opinion on an outfit, oddly enough Audrina breaks the news to them that she will not be attending the bar with them because she is going out to dinner with J-Bobby, when asked if she has talked to him since being left at the BBQ she responds with a smiley NO (I kinda think yes though)
- Audrina meets J-Bobby at the restaurant they are having a nice meal and then she asks whether they are b/f and g/f, his response is that he doesn’t want to go by labels and that he is irritated that her friends put ideas like that in her head and he really doesn’t F***in’ care!
- Lauren and Lo go to Les Deux where they meet some friends and then later Brody and Frankie show up, Brody mentions about meeting up on the weekend which is fine, but then it escalates in to party with Brody and Lauren at his condo (ooooh drama I know)
- Next we see Brody drivin’ the ‘slade down some street and he is actually able to get a hold of Spencer. They have a discussion that ends poorly because Spencer doesn’t like the fact that Brody is “Rollin’ with his enemy. Which shows me that you have no loyalty therefore I have nothing to say to you.” There’s a click and we hear Brody comment on what a BITCH Spencer is being.
- Lauren is hanging out with buddies at Hotel Roosevelt Pool and Brody and Frankie show up as was planned at Les Deux. Brody tells her that Spencer broke up with him and then eventually the conversation moves to the fact that Lauren had a ‘friendly’ sleep over at Brody’s. Suffice to say Brody says that him and Frankie are now dating (TOTAL JOKES BUT WOULD BE MORE FUNNY IF IT CAME TRUE!)
- Last bit of the Hills, is Heidi meeting up with Jen Bunney at a restaurant for breakfast. They talk about the past and how life is going now. Heidi reveals that it was Brody spreading the sex tape rumours, Jen asks how do you know and Heidi says well I heard him saying stuff. Jen admits that it’s really sad how their friendships with Lauren dissolved and Heidi brushes it off as if she doesn’t care, when Jen says yes you do, you can tell by Heidi’s face that she really is unsure about the whole losing a friend situation.

Now let’s talk. First of all I would like to see the Lauren and Brody thing pan out. I think they would make a cute couple, actually a power couple. Jen Bunney and Heidi being friends makes me very wary because they both backstabbed Lauren, I can’t wait to see them backstab each other and then watch how the situation unfolds. Throughout the entire episode Spencer was really distant even with Heidi, could this mean potential problems…maybe. Might want to stop wearing the ring Heidi so that it doesn’t depreciate even more, then you will get top dollar for when you pawn it! Spencer really has control issues, I think he should go talk to someone. A lot of celeb couples do it, so why would he and Heidi be any different…. I don’t know maybe because they are in their early 20’s. Brody was really disappointed to lose Spencer as a friend over something so petty, they have been friends since they were kids so to throw something like that away, Spencer’s head must not be on straight. But let’s be positive and in the loss of Spencer he gains Lauren which is a way more reliable friend anyway, yet if he sticks to Frankie no heartbreak will be involved! I think Audrina should cock block J-Bobby and just forget about him. She’s always thinking about what is going to happen and what Lauren will think when J-Bobby makes these great statements, probably because she is the only one out of the two of them that cares what people think. It’s shallow, but in truth Lauren does have her back. I wish I could flake around a pool and party with this group, they seem to have lots of fun!
